Rummy Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 I happened across a rather amusing new webcomic(CartridgeComics) today, linked from fanboys online, so I'm browsing through the archives and catching up. In one of their newsposts, this rather catching 'stolen sidekick' story is linked to. Of course, I was wondering 'how could someone steal someone's sidekick?' and clicked it thinking of the literal noun sidekick, and read the rather amazing story of a missing phone. I thought it was so interesting that I'd come here and share it with you guys. http://www.evanwashere.com/StolenSidekick/
Dan_Dare Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 wow. that's fascinating stuff. It's amazing how powerful a tool this community web presence can be if you fluke a digg or something.
Shorty Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 There are really people dumb enough to steal a sidekick then use that person's service to access their own email and stuff like that? Wow, you'd think a criminal mind would be a little more clued up.
Rummy Posted April 18, 2007 Author Posted April 18, 2007 wow. that's fascinating stuff. It's amazing how powerful a tool this community web presence can be if you fluke a digg or something. Funny you should say that too, I've just been reading about this whole outrage amongst the internet at Todd Goldman and his trace copying of a webcomic artist's work. Which he apparently does alot.
Eenuh Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Sidekick thing is kinda old now already; didn't someone post it on here back then? I remember being linked to it and then following the updates; interesting story and some stupid people involved (the girl and stuff). Edit: by the way, that Todd dude is a total ass and deserves to have rocks thrown at his head.
|Laguna| Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Interesting story, although I came into this thread expecting something like some a videogame had Tails or Luigi in their game without developer consent.
