Well not best today, my broken wii came back.... is a brand new console lost everything off my old one, so good thing I backed up my game saves. But how annoyed am I that I lost all my Virtual Console games...I'm gonna have it out with them on the phone when I can get through, I had like four games and 500 points waiting to be spent..little f**kers...

Just proves last time they claimed to send me a new machine they were lying...snore downloading all the updates now.zzzzzzz....

My new Wii Number is:

7083-6039-7748-6056

please will everyone who had me added before add me again and post on here that they have done so I can add you aswell? Plus send me any Mii's you have that plaza ain't gonna fill itself...

EDIT:

All is not completely lost, once I did the update went back to the shopping channel and it's letting me redownload what I had before. But still no Mii's etc...

So you lost your Mii's, which you should have backed up onto your remote anyway...

And that's it basically?

You can only save 6 Mii's to one remote and my Wii just died on me so I didn't exactly have chance to! But yeah post update I can redownload stuff....annoyingly means I've lost all my wii sports scores as even the ones on the wiimote that I have don't get scores... So yes you are right it wasn't as bad as I first thought, wasn't expecting an update to change it knowing what I had downloaded on an old Wii though.

One stupid thing I've noticed is that you can't copy a save file straight from an SD card, you have to had one on the Wii before you can. So it means going into every game and creating a new save file then deleting it before being able to copy the one off the SD card.

Whilst doing this, have noticed something a scratchy clunky sound everytime it loads the disc. Not cos of crap on disc cos was very careful to check the first one I put in (Zelda)...ODD...

did you get your spare points back as well?

Yep.

Also @ motion, one thing with Mii's backed up on the Wiimote is that you can't edit them as they are classed as coming from a different Wii...just tried it...

Stop moaning, all you lost is a few Mii's.

360 owners lose alot more if there machine breaks.

alright jeez...as you can imagine I am a little annoyed, this is the third time I've had my wii back...

and you lose more than mii's...all my wii sports scores and records are gone, and completely lost my wario ware game cos it uses miis;

How have you been so unlucky with your Wii? I haven't had a single problem... unless you include the blue light waking me up the other day when Nintendo released the full version of the internet channel. But to have to send it back twice? That's crazy! Bad luck about the Mii's, if you don't get any scores and such off the Wiimote ones then you might as well build them from scratch so you can edit them.

At least you got something. Remember the time of memory cards, when if it failed you lost EVERYTHING?

I actually used to enjoy those times, as it gave me an excuse to do everything from scratch!

There's also alot of un-transferable data.

You must be doing something wrong if your Wii broke twice. It's not like they're easy to break without carelessly dropping them.

Nah I didn't it's been crashing since the day I got it on 8th December, it was pretty infrequent at first, did it on the second day then not again for about a month..but it became really frequent, and eventually it didn't turn on at all. Then sent it off got the same console back after sending it off, it worked for a day then crashed again and wouldn't turn back on. So it's obviously been the same problem, and that's why Nintendo picked it up for free, cos they admitted it was sounded like a repeated problem that they had obviously not fixed!

Anyway don't wanna argue on it more, I'll except that maybe you could lose more on other consoles maybe, but trust me if you'd been without your Wii for about a month like I have then finally get it back with data missing, ok so a lot of the stuff is superficial like the Mii's and can soon be reaquired, but losing the likes of Wii Sports scores is annoying, I think if the same had happened to other they'd be more annoyed than you'd think, I didn't think it would bother me, but the realisation that it happened has made me more annoyed...

Please people add my new Wii Number it's under my avatar and let me know if you do, so I can add you as well...
