Emasher Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 well i don't exactly want to share my files with my sister as we all know what can happen when that happens thank god she dosent want to play sonic i'm was getting tired of transfering my file all the time. also for music in excite truck
Cube Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 also for music in excite truck On a 16MB SD Card... Get a 1GB or 2GB one. Much better for the price, and you can use it to backup stuff, too, or transport non-Wii-related stuff to other computers.
Emasher Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 well i just put the hyrule field theme on it. i also have a 512 for my camera and a 2g for music on my sd compatible sterio
SpinesN Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 4GB SD cards WILL work in the wii. You do have to format them (to the FAT file system) but they WILL work. Most come with the FAT32 file system as the standard format but just like a floppy disk they can be reformatted.
Ash Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 So does anyone know if Sandisk Extreme III 2GB SD cards work ok with the Wii? Yes they do i have one. not had any problems with it.

Somebody said that their 4GB card doesnt work It may be that the Wii ony supports FAT 16.
Gizmo Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 I think it would work, but only on one side. So you would only get 2gb read by the Wii.

My 4GB OCZ SD card (fat32) does not work in my wii (specifically the wii cannot read it, however it does know there is a card poresent). My 128MB card (formated in FAT). Can be read. While I have not personally used my 4GB in FAT format friends of mine have theirs working.
