Shorty Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Anyone got any reccomendations for good sidebar software for Windows XP? I was hoping I might find something that I can put on my second monitor where I can always see the time and various other useful things (the clock on my taskbar isn't visible in full screen apps). Thing is I don't know where to start - but I've seen in the "post your desktop" thread in creative that plenty of people use them. I want them to look nice and be functional, I'm quite picky with my desktop design I have 2GB RAM and a conroe so resource hungry isn't much of an issue, but obviously simple is nice too. Thanks in advance. I'll get Jordan to exile you if you post "get a mac!"
Guest Jordan Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I use Vista's sidebar with a few little tools. Shortcuts (IE, Windows Live Mess, Winamp, games etc) CPU & Ram useage Remote desktop tool Notes Weather Updates
Cube Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 For XP: http://www.desktopsidebar.com/ Theres plenty of skins for it.
AshMat Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 If you don't have Vista (which i'm presuming you don't). The one Cube posted is probably the best with the most widgets and functions available.
Guest Stefkov Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I used to use googles side bar. Took an age to load up on startup. I was looking for one yesterday. Cheers for that link Cube.
Jasper Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 If you don't have Vista (which i'm presuming you don't). The one Cube posted is probably the best with the most widgets and functions available. It's called Gadgets. Now don't forget that anymore!
