Nah, I played my nes during the DOS era. And I have never played any tycoon games.

Either get the patch, or get RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, which is more or less the same as the first, except it has more rides, etc... And I believe it's compatible withall of RCT1's scenarios and ride.

 

Btw, if you do wanna get RCT2, you can now pick it up with it's 2 expansion packs for around 20€ (10 Quid, more or less).

yeah it didn't work in that dos box thing. didn't think it was a dos game myself but didn't know how to get it to run, got it sorted with batch though cheers guys..

RCT1 is not a DOS game, its a Windows game. You can get to work by right click on shortcut icon, properties, click compatibility, set the compatibility mode to Windows 95 or Windows 98/Windows ME and then run the game.

I have the game myself and it does work when you do this.
