New Revolution information! Confirmed by Jim Merrick of NoE
Britprog replied to Domstercool's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Miyamoto is the god of videogames, It will be a sad day for the games industry when he retires or dies :aww: :aww: I think Nintendo are grooming Arouma to become the next Miyamoto. -
Hopefully Nintendogs is a slow burner and sales will pick up when the mad xmas rush kicks in. I was under the impression that Nintendogs was popular with the mainstream press and they where predicting that i will be the must have "toy" of xmas.

Edge Issue 156! write-up of Revo Pad - A MUST READ

I'm glad people have read this post, and enjoyed it. If you fellow forum users want, I could write a short summary of all Nintendo related articles from Edge each month. -
Where can you get Killer 7 for £17? Don't bother with Star Fox Assault it got really dodgy reviews. The flying parts are fun, but roaming around with fox is crap!!! I think Star Fox on the Revolution will be great with new controller.

Thanks for that info Stocka, I would missed that! Didn't realise that Rev Report updated on the weekends

Did the copy of Edge in your dream have any nudey pictures. LOL I watched the DVD last night, I have to admit the Jap's are odd. When TGS ends all the booth girls line up (which is a beautiful sight) and leave one by one with Auld Lang Syne playing in the background!! -
myamotos signature? I read that the ps3 is bigger that the xbox and we know it. Can any one back this up? I know 360 is "smaler" Good man, DiemertiX wins a cuddly bear

When you hear Iwata speak on the DVD its a voice over. Because the TGS was ofcourse taking place in Japan it would have been downright rude for Iwata to speak in English in the press conference. Iwata's English isn't that bad really, he did well in GDC and E3 this year!!!! -
I still haven't watched this video yet but it looks like it might be a laugh, will download it when I get home.

Mark Rein Vice President of Epic Games says that games in the next generation will be “all about the graphics,†and that Nintendo fans are in for “crappy, cheap, I-wish-I-hadn’t-bought-it gimmicks†on Revolution. Where is his proof on this statement, has he played with the remote, has he seen any games. Are Nintendo known for making crappy, cheap, I-wish-I-hadn’t-bought-it gimmicks. HELL NO!!! I think he's gonna have to eat his words big time when he sees Mario 128 and Metriod Prime 3.

Edge Issue 156! write-up of Revo Pad - A MUST READ

I wouldn't buy Edge for a single article. The article is 8 pages long but two pages are pictures only. Save your €6 for your Revolution fund!! I am sure they will post the article on there website when issue 157 comes out on November 24th. They have recently posted the PDZ preview which was published in issue 155. -

Yeah, I had a subsciption to Arcade and when they relaunched it with that "loo roll paper" magazine I was well pissed off. It only lasted 2-3 Issues, then Future started sending me PS Magazine, those cheeky sods. I remember one article when they played Gran Turismo, and the journo started drinking to see how alcohol affected the his lap times. Great stuff. I think I may have all the issues tucked awayin my loft somewhere, might dig them up in the weekend. -

Never read Gamesmaster, but i might pop down to my local newsagent to check out the latest issue. Does anybody remember a mag called Arcade, it was published by Future the same company that does Edge, Around the PS1 vs. N64 era. It was a like fun version of Edge, but had some killer articles too. -

Revolution Worldwide Launch in June 2006
Britprog replied to system_error's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Whatever the release date may be, it still points to the fact Nintendo are trying to do a worldwide launch of sorts which is good news for Europe. I think Zelda may have been delayed into the Nintendo's next fiscal year(06/07) instead February/March 06, because they need the extra cash generated from Zelda to cover the cost of Manufacturing Revolutions. Its a good way to cover what could have a loss making quarter. And it would keep the shareholders happy. -

I hope it turns out to be true, that would be awesome. A Nintendo console which launches only a month after the japanese would be a dream come true. -

“There’s a soft rubbery finish on the pad and buttons surface, meaning although the handset looks hard, sharp-edged and slippery, the sensation of holding it is effortless†Apologies for the error in writing this comment, it should have meant the A and B buttons on the Revolution pad have a soft rubbery finish not the casing. This is an error on my part because i sped read the article. Obviously not very good at it!!! -

Sorry here Enjoy Edge also confirmed that the sensors where wired to the Revolution. The sensors themselves will be supplied out of the box mounted on a thin metal spacer, the whole unit is about a foot long (30cm). Players can even dismount the sensors and stick them onto either side of the TV if they wish. -

Yeah good issue overall, did a good write up on TGS for MS and Sony aswell. Edge has always been a mag that I can't wait for to be delivered, unfortunately my post comes at about 11am which sucks.
