Northern Lights was lent to me by someone who had to read it as part of their Uni course, and I read the trilogy as it was released, I was disapointed by the end of the last book but you can't have it all, I felt the same about the end of the Dark Tower series (Stephen King). I would really recommend anything by Joe R Lansdale for a bit of light humour, he has a series about 2 guys called Hap and Leonard, but there are also random other comedy / thiller / horror books out there by him.

My knee cap twisted off my knee and went behind where it was meant to be, tearing a ligament on the way and keeping me in plaster from ankle to top of thigh for 6 weeks in the first term of the first year of Uni. I did it while I was in a lotus position quite stupidly moving my knee the wrong way at the wrong time.

I do not see a problem with it - I think you would be paranoid to think that the Govenment is going to have the resources to track the movements of people who are not already on the police watch list, and if you are on the police watch list, you are doing something wrong. So stop it. The thing in Iceland as well, thats interesting, but I bet the only people who have something to fear is those people who are into serious and organised crime, they are not going to tap phones, set up cameras and watch internet action on random people, they are going to do it on people they want to convict of something. It would be a massive waste of resources to bother with anything smaller.

My very first gig was U2 on the Zooropa Tour, back in 199something. I also went to see Bon Jovi twice and Bryan Adams once while at school, before finding a different kind of taste in music when I went to College and then Uni, and got into more indie britpop stuff (well it was 1996) and I have seen more bands than I think my aging mind can recall, lots at festivals (a good way to cram lots of artists into your seen list) and lots in Oxford, Cambridge and London, which are my nearest gig haunts.

I am pretty good, can touch type, do about 70 words a minute, but sometimes I will have an off day and just be one letter out all the time, thats so annoying.

I would go for Sussex, but I am not much of a London bod myself. I prefer things on a slightly smaller scale.

Back in my day I paid £10 per lesson, but that was 10 years ago, so its well out of date now. I remember one thing that slowed me up was waiting for a test date, they were over run with people wanting to pass before the theory test came in.

I think he is real, but what started as them having a laugh at some of his ideas led to Karl emphasising some parts of his personality and views to make the show better. Bit like Damon from the Oval (if you also listen to other parts of XFM you will know what Im on about)

When im ill I tend to just sleep, vomit and sleep some more, if im well enough to get out of bed, then I go to work.

I drempt that I was on a boat (like an old wooden one I imagine slaves were transported on) and I was sawing off my cousins head, like really holding her down and sawing at the spinal cord, it too ages to get through it and I was really tired out - but I kept going. Now I really like my cousin, I had not had a fight with her, nor was a angry, and most importantly nothing happened to either of us over the following weeks and months - it was just my brain being really freaky. It was very vivid though. That was years ago, but it stayed with me because something like that is hard to forget.

Dreams are just the minds way of processing, filing and storing information, you probably have some concerns at the moment and they are coming out in this way - seriously try not to worry about the implications of the dream itself, it was just your brain messing with you.

Been living together for nearly 9 years - don't have any of the problems you mentioned Jav - if anything there is more sex (because we are in the same place at the same time more) and just like Odwin said - the arguements are more like "where are my clean socks", "in the drawer", "No they are not", "yes they are, you have not looked properly" (goes to drawer, pulls out socks...), "see!", "you just put those there, they were not there when I looked!".... etc etc.

I think pose is the best one, I was slightly freaked out by the concept though - Ive never seen it before (Cosplay, not peach).
