Very surprised people are still doubting this to be honest. Eurogamer wouldn't have run this story without some serious credible sources. Maybe Nintendo will release a home console in a few years.

So Pokémon software sales on 3DS in UK went up 145% last week. Early signs are good for Nintendo and there strategy of using mobile software to bring more attention to handheld/console games.

I actually agree with you on this. there is some fun to be had but I am failing to see how anyone can call this a good game. It is average at best but like I said there is fun to be had and I guess that if people are finding it fun then that is a good thing. If a pokemon game was released on 3DS with no story or strategy and with so much lack of depth it would get ripped to shreds. If Nintendo can get these new pokemon players interested in the proper pokemon games though then what they are doing is working. if nintendo want to stick with this kind of game on mobile thats fine but god no please dont ever think about taking pokemon in this direction on handheld.

I tried it yesterday and yeah while it's kinda fun hunting down Pokémon this game or is it just an actual app not really for me. It's lacking so much depth. Don't really find myself having any Desire to continue playing to be honest.

kind of strange how the digital version is not available anywhere apart from eshop. will wait till morning, if still not their have to go to eshop.

Nah I can't see the drop off being that big. How much did theal last game sell. 15m right? 5m people who are invested in a fully fleshed out Pokemon game are not gonna abandon it for something as basic as Pokémon Go. Parents will still buy Pokémon for there kids who will want it. Kids are persistent!

I really not sure people will move over to a proper Pokémon game. I do wonder if what people are getting out of Pokemon Go is perfectly enough for them. They see no reason to play a fully fleshed out Pokemon game. Bit size mobile offering is enough for them. Will say with the all the buzz Pokémon GO is getting, maybe this is the time for Nintendo to start pushing Pokémon on 3DS. See if they can profit from the buzz of Pokémon go

4 month delay is pretty weak from nintendo! still dont understand why europe/US releases are so far apart. doest happen with MS and Sony. why is nintendo so damn different.
