About the 360 noise, mine is laid horizontally and it makes sod all noise. My PC is louder. I got mine in February, could it be a newer model with the quiter doodahs?

Play.com have opened up a section for the Wii and have games available for preorder. Release dates are all listed as Christmas Day and prices are all £50. Obviously these are just temporary until the actual prices are unveiled along with the release date. Also the console is listed but not available to order, however if you enter your email address they will email you when they begin taking orders.

Basically I have to write a report on a media "event/controversy" and I'm going to do about the controversy surrounding video games and the controversy that surrounds titles like manhunt and GTA. I'm kinda of hoping to keep it UK based however. Most stuff I have found has been US-centric however. Can anyone point me in the direction of a UK case of violence in video games and its surrounding controversy? Thanks in advance guys...

Forgive my ignorance, I've never played a Hitman game. What's the game play like? What games is it similar to? I quite like the look of the new Hitman but I don't know if it's worth getting...

Nintendo have really got the hang of marketing with the DS. I mean, they have been blitzing channel 4 on a friday night with marketing. Sponsoring Green Wing (a hospital based comedy for those who dont know) with Trauma Centre was fucking genius. There was also a TV show on channel 4 about problem pet dogs that they sponsored with Nintendogs. Now that is good marketing.

KobraKai was fantastic. Like Microsoft it's cool to hate lostprophets so thats why most do. They do their own thing. Their second album wasn't as heavy as their first because they matured and mellowed out. Yet everyone accuses them of selling out. Whatever. The new album is supposed to be even more of a departure from Fake Sound so they are just going to give the haters more ammunition. All I care about is the fact I like em. If ya don't then fine, but I don't wanna hear about it.

Oh dear, that interface looks dreadful. Style over substance it looks like. I feared Square would be forced to take this route by Sony. If they are taking that route by choice then this game deserves to flop.

People have been discussing TV's, monitors and the like I have a question. Bascially I have been running mine through my almost twenty year old Sony CRT TV and while its shit, it does have 60Hz. I realise it's time to upgrade but I know for a fact that I wont be able to for a month or two. I have a strange problem however. Games will only display properly when I have the console set to PAL-60 and DVDs only when set to PAL-50. What the fuck is that all about? Secondly, the demo pods have a High Def screen, anyone know what make/model these are and where they are sold? Thanks guys...

I wouldn't be surprised if them release dates are really from a instore listing but are inaccurate as hell. I mean christ, my local Gamestation was still claiming spring for the PS3 up untill it was in the papers about it being a november launch.

I had this problem with GTA, but with no other games. I think it may just be GTA that is weird like that. Glitch in the programming or something....

I've played both Fifa and Pro Evo 5 and Pro Evo is far and away the better game. Shocking loading times though...
