  1. well I'm just glad its finally got a date. july is ok for me if we end up with a drought over the summer, will pick this up.
  2. I went for other simply because none of those games were a surprise. Knew Animal Crossing was coming to the cube as it was a port of the N64 title Animal Forest. A F-Zero sequel was always gonna be on the cards, and it was know way back in the N64 era that a 3D Metroid was in development for a while, remember reading about it in an old copy of N64 Mag. For something to be a surprise for me it either has to be an unexpected title or a new IP, so my vote would go to either Pikmin or Eternal Darkness.
  3. yeah it is worldwide never gonna be just in europe in such a small space of time.
  4. Agreed was an awesome game! Other than that I've always wanted to see a 3D version of Repton something I've said many times on here.
  5. really doesn't surprise me...never got them in when I worked at HMV. and when we did they were in such small quantities.
  6. This really is the crux of the matter, with the friend code system, you first have to go on a forum such as this, get people to swap codes, and then either through the forums or msn contact people to make sure you are all searching at the right time (as this can be a massive issue trying to get some games to work), although I know this has been improved upon on more recent online games like Metroid and Diddy Kong. Even swapping with friends is a pain in the arse, you can't just say hey my gamertag is flameboy, you've gotta go hmmm not sure don't know my code for that, wait till I get home and I'll text you it, or store them in my phone or something, I shouldn't have to use other devices. It still makes for a very frustrating experience. you compare this Xbox Live ease of use, and then even further what Playstation Home plans to bring to the table, whereby you can freely move and talk to anyone within the community, take them back to your lobby play mini games and then even get round to playing some proper games. It's just annoying that whilst the friend code system works fine enough it is a flawed system. It shouldn't have to rely on other applications for it's community to function. Nintendo out of the big three arguably have the biggest experience in online consoles (note I said online consoles and not online gaming) as well, the Famicom had a modem for checking the stock exchange, the SNES had that Satallieview thing, where you could download expansions for games, the zelda one springs to mind, the N64 via it's 64DD add on could go online, the gamecube had online although it's support was laughable. So they should be able to create a system far more accessible than the friend code system.
  7. Whilst I'm not sure if it will be another week, not sure how long it will be, we will hear something soon surely, they are probably just finalising things.
  8. yeah they seemed a lot more positive about it, although I will likely miss this one out and get 08 instead...
  9. awesome two great games that I want turtles and splatterhouse!
  10. Yeah it's like me going to girlfriend saying I've got something great for her, then playing the joke on her and then saying that was the great thing!
  11. also there is wiihear.com as well although I always use finetune, is much better in my opinion and looks pretty cool on the tv as well.
  12. Have to agree with Rummy the A button would have been much better for boosting.
  13. that isn't my main problem with the friend codes system. It is that it creates a very claustrophobic online experience and if you are not a member of a community such as this, severly limits the level of online play you can experience. It creates a frustrating experience whereby you cannot easily make friends via the online system... The Wii is positioned as a console for everyone, and surely they would do well to apply this business practice to the online experience, and make it as simple as possible, a gamertag system would be so much simpler, because lets face it, if Nintendo can turn non gamers into gamer via the Wii then in turn convert them to online gaming they could have even more of a winner on their hands.
  14. not that I don't believe you but wheres the source? In a word...yes...kinda does...
  15. yeah you'd think they wouldn't go to so much effort to decieve..
  16. august/september time...
  17. thing is what you said didn't sound either sarcastic or ironic....
  18. yeah my mistake! sorted it cheers : peace:
  19. well here's an image from the latest NOM, rumours an boards such as NeoGAF certain that its nights, what does every one else think?!
  20. how can you say that when you have never played it?! From the video they seem so fast theres not a chance of saving them all, seems really jittery altho that could be player not pointing properly
  21. from that video it looks near on impossible to save mega strike shots, may as well not bother having the goalie trying to save them.
  22. haha, first thing I thought as well.
  23. flameboy

    Opoona

haha easy to say that... I think it looks like it has an artistic direction to it, nice cel shaded character on a cartoon background, and whilst it isn't exactly pushing the Wii technology, I sure something similar like that could run on the DS..but it will be interesting to see how the nunchuk only control will work.
  24. I was going to get this, but I heard that they plan on releasing Tiger Woods 08 at the same time as all the others, so I think I will leave it and see what improvements they can make second time round. http://gonintendo.com/?p=14483
  25. and just to show I have a softer side (noticed a few from pretty violent games): and this is genuine! love the art style on this box and the textured looked things have.
