Made a second error with the boys last night by accidentally watching season 1 episode 8 for half an hour before finally working it out.

    Why is she alive?

How did he break his leg?

    Where is storm front?

    ....

I did this with Community once. I was halfway through the episode before I realized that it probably wasn't a flashback episode. In my defense, it was a season 4 episode, so that's probably why I had no memory of it whatsoever.

My mom, meanwhile, started watching Six Feet Under with season 5 episode 1 when I bought her the full DVD set. She must have been so confused!

Sorry by levels I mean telling you how far into a specific trophy you are. Collect 5 Whatevers, if you've collected 3 it'll tell you on Xbox, not on Playstation (as far as I'm aware)

Yeah, I would rather have that than more levels, to be honest.

Sony's already ripped off everything else about achievements from Microsoft, so I'm not sure what the holdup is on this...

Edit: Looks like it might be on the way:

I wondered why I seemed to prefer the Xbox One achievement system, I didn't even realise the Playstation one didn't have levels!

That's probably because it already has levels, they're just adding more of them so it won't take as long to level up...

Have you played Ghost Giant? That's one of my favorite VR games (not that I've played that many, but still).

I have not, although looking it up now, it does look interesting. Bit price pointy though, would you say it's worth £19?

I think so! What would you do with that £19, anyway? You'd probably just waste it. You might as well spend it on something fun.

Well games that i've tried and would recommend:

    Beat Saber

Goes without saying really. Probably the best-selling VR game, and it's tons of fun to play.

    I Expect You to Die

A Bond themed, escape room simulator with a good sense of humour and lots of style.

    Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

The only real local multi-player game that i've seen. Take turns in defusing the bomb while people not wearing a headset describe the instructions to you. Good party game (in groups of 6 or less please)

    Superhot VR

This one just feel really cool to play. Not very long, but pretty re-playable.

    Wander

This is the next best thing until they bring Google Earth VR to wireless headsets. You can go anywhere with Google Street View, and it's pretty incredible.

    A Fisher-mans Tale

I really enjoyed this. It's a sort of an arty, theatrical game with puzzles and a talking prawn. Got some really cool puzzles that play around with scale that only really works in VR. Not very replayable though, so maybe wait for a sale?

Have you played Ghost Giant? That's one of my favorite VR games (not that I've played that many, but still).

Carlos Ruiz Zafron recently passed away, so it's a good time to recommend his most famous work Shadow of the Wind, a heartfelt mystery set in 1945 Barcelona. I read and recommend a lot of books, and none have been so universally loved as this book. No one who has read it has regretted it, so take the time if you're looking for something good.

This was a good recommendation, I just wish you'd mentioned that the sequels aren't worth reading. :heh:

I saw Onward for the second time (after first seeing it in March) and had even more fun watching it a second time - Given its odd premise and terrible launch window by coming out just before the pandemic I think this will become a hidden gem.

Onward made me bawl my eyes out, which seems to be my main measurement for how good I think a movie is.

I went on ResetEra afterwards to see what people thought of the movie, and half the people in the thread were calling it one of Pixar's worst. I was so annoyed!

Does this mean they aren't making a VR version of this update? or just that the VR version isn't free?

I feel like it's important to note that there was never a VR version of the first game either, and that SUPERHOT VR is a completely separate game.

Anyway, here's what they have to say about VR on the Steam page:

    Quote

Is this VR? Will this be VR?
MCD is a regular, non-VR title. It’s designed for conventional screens and longer play sessions. If you played and enjoyed SUPERHOT VR, you’ll have a blast playing the original SUPERHOT and MCD as well.

Just like making SUPERHOT VR required making an entirely new game with new mechanics, new levels, and a new story, so would our next VR game differ from MCD and everything else we’ve done so far. We’re always working on new things, but great things take time to build. It may be a long time before we’re happy with the next great VR thing to show you.

    IGN = 10/10.

    Nearly everyone else = 0/10.

    Well, that's a bald-faced lie.

You've been spending too much time on the Last of Us II subreddit. Those people are delusional.
