  1. I got some from the big, sea creatures... can't remember their names :P... but at the top of the wood map in the ocean section those big creatures which are surprisingly easy to kill. I got lots of Monster Guts from them.
  2. Name: "Spune" ID: "MI6YUY" (Also in my sig). Just did online for the first time with randomers... was awesome. Still learning everything but this could easily eat away many of my hours this summer.
  3. I think The Incredibles 2 could work. I didn't think the first was perfect, but seeing the family grow up and with new villains and more Edna there's endless possibilities if it was tighter. Cars is really the lovechild of it's director (I can't remember his name). He loves Cars, so he demanded they make a film about Cars he thinks everyone loves Cars as much as him. The film after Monsters Inc. 2 though (summer 2012 apparently) is called 'Brave" and is about a Scottish girl who wants to be an archer.
  4. Monsters Inc 2 being made. So Pixar's next films are Toy Story 2, Cars 2 and Monsters Inc. 2... where did their originality suddenly go?
  5. Do I have to have Wii Speak for this? Will people not want to play with me? I've got the game, gonna wait a bit before going online as I find that a bit daunting.
  6. Tah very much. My boyfriend lives in Australia and is 5 years older than me (which, when I'm 19 seems to be more like 50 years for my parents...). So yeah... it can be hard. But he's worth it... I'm a standup comedian and I do gigs... but HE'S the funniest person in our house and I just think he can laugh me into bed. He bought me a ticket to Australia in August/September before uni and I'm saving up to pay him back... it'll will have been a FULL YEAR since I last saw him in August.
  7. I dunno why people were worrying so much about that and actually I was quite looking forward to it. With Russel T Davies and Julie Gardner involved it sounded like it'd just be Series 4 but in the States which would have been very interesting. I can hardly see it as being "sacrilege" partly because Torchwood has practically always been a British remake of American shows but also because the series is incredibly hit-and-miss anyway.
  8. Thanks. Guys. I did do one of Donkey Kong, but it was unfinished and a bit bad.
  9. I'm on deviantArt here actually http://spune.deviantart.com/
  10. Thanks. I know they're not really original... illustrative interpretations of Mario are ten a penny online. But it was just for my art project.
  11. My last unit of work at my art college had to be about "Games People Play" and... I guess I'd have to revoke my membership from this board if I didn't do something about video games. Specifically I did retro games and MORE specifically, I mainly did Nintendo games cos... well... that's what I'm more familiar with. I'll probably post my whole unit here but I can't upload the rest of it till next week. Anyway, here are some acrylic paintings on wood. The quality is a bit poor cos I had to take these pics with a digital camera but oh well. Childhood Friends A triptych in acrylic paint on wood. A4 each. The painting depicts scenes from three video games I used to play when I was younger on my older brother's Nintendo Entertainment System. The games (from top to bottom) are 'Super Mario Bros.', 'Metroid' and 'The Legend of Zelda'. As a slightly nerdy, lonely kid, these three characters came to be the friends I played with as a child. I've painted them how I remembered them, where I used my imagination to gloss over the slightly dodgy graphics of the original games. September 2009
  12. Hey I've just edited my first post. That's actually me on the RIGHT. I thought I was posting a different picture. :P
  13. I'm gay. I did standup at my college yesterday when I mentioned it... we're really quite liberal here. I've got a boyfriend as well. (Me on the right)
  14. Matt Smith is much more my kind of Doctor. I found David Tennant's Doctor far too easily likeable, more like your cool brother who got all your pop culture references, rather then the awkward, 900-year old alien he should be. The Doctor shouldn't be completely likeable, he's a bit of a dick, and I'm glad they're reintroduced that to his relationship with Amy, who I also love as she's been given lots of mystery and questions for us to speculate on her past. I mean really... who IS she!??
  15. Mine's pre-ordered at my local Insane Games.
  16. I'm getting this on Friday with the Classic Controller Pro. Don't have Wii Speak though... how necessary d'you think it is?
  17. No but I just thought most of the humour fell a little flat. I didn't really laugh. (And I am a comic book fan, I liked the nod to "Scott Pilgrim", a film that looks far better). I don't think Kick Ass was bad by any means but was quite disappointed. It felt like Super Bad, a film hyped to insanity just cos it wasn't as bad as all the other crap in the cinema... but it doesn't really make this one a classic. Also someone praised the soundtrack which I found really distracting. I think lifting music from other, better, films makes your film seem very, very cheap, almost like a Media Studies film. But then I am a bit of a soundtrack buff :P
  18. Crap day at work (Subway) but they gave me a free sandwich. So sings n' roundabouts innit?
  19. I liked 'How to Train Your Dragon' despite it having the same plot of all Dreamworks films... young outsider in a village soon becomes accepted by being their hero... love interest... "are they dead?" sequence at the end. But it was really good... got my excited for Monster Hunter what with all the giant dragon battles. :P I actually thought 'Kick Ass' was a bit "meh". Not really sure what kind of film it wanted to be, it wasn't particularly funny to be a comedy, wasn't particularly dramatic to be a drama. More style over substance to be honest. Hit Girl and Big Daddy were great though.
  20. Lib Dems or Labour at the moment. A gay voting Tory is like an atheist running for Pope.
  21. We just keep on getting new, breath-taking levels thick and fast then I don't think there's much reason to complain. Sure you're missing plot but when has the plot in a (platforming) Mario game ever been more enjoyable than the gameplay. I think Shigsy's has been very smart in removing it.
  22. I Love You Phillip Morris Very dark, very funny, very sad, very true. Great performances from Ewan McGregor in particular. I'd urge people to see it unless you squirm at the idea of men kissing. It's by the writers of Bad Santa, so it has that same sort of twisted sense of humour / drama mix. 4/5
  23. I'm loving the newest (and by that I mean Season 5 on ITV4 FINALLY being broadcast) of the US Office. The dinner party episode alone has made the series worth watching so 5/5 for that one. South Park was a bit 3/5 had some good bits, not classic yet. Glee is still camp as ever. 4/5
  24. HARTNELL!! Awesome. He's like Jack Sparrow meets Jimmy Newtron.
