  1. I can't say I ever found Mario U to be particularly hard, at all in fact. Nintendo games are so easy these days that a bit of challenge is welcome anyway IMO. That said I do remember it being a bit of a chore to get through. The levels just felt so similar and repetitive. The Van Gogh inspired one looked great but all it amounted to was jumping from pipe to pipe.
  2. It would have damaged Nintendo's bottom line but realistically it was never going to fall flat. It was always going to sell well enough, hence not exactly a big risk. That was actually a great post. (ruined by the juvenile 12 year old humour of "Capper Turd")
  3. On the other hand I'm not sure they would be selling this much if supply was plentiful. It was the same with the Wii, all those sold out signs raised the profile and led to more sales. It's probably a little bit of both, Nintendo underestimating demand but also doing limited manufacturing runs to raise hype and get lots of word of mouth.
  4. I watched the two recent Game Scoops from IGN and Greg not being there has left a big hole.
  5. I think the minority who trade in or never had a DS or 3DS having to spend an extra £10 is better than the overall price of the New 3DS rising by £10 for everyone.
  6. Their whinging about no AC adapter was stupid. The majority of sales will be from people who already have a DS or 3DS, and can just use their old one. I'd rather they leave it out instead of adding an extra 10 quid for something most people don't need. If the 3DS is your very first handheld since the Gameboy, an extra 10 quid sale isn't that big a deal.
  7. What a depressingly samey, predictable list. Shooters, FIFA, third person kill-a-thons and the Lego Movie game. Meh.
  8. Difference is they don't have to make the leap from SD to HD this time.
  9. Bit disappointed by the range of faceplates we're getting first up but oh well, at least we're getting them!
  10. If the MM 3DS XL was purple or dark green I may have been tempted but the gold looks a little wrong with the mask
  11. So jealous. I'm gutted to have missed out. Looks amazing (don't tell me just how amazing it is please :P)
  12. It's a shame they got rid of the analogue looking clock design from the original game.
  13. I know I'm in the minority here, but not everyone cares about online multiplayer.
  14. E3: Zelda U, Starfox, Metroid and NintendoLand 2 - that would do nicely.
  15. I'd be amazed if they weren't working on such a game. I just hope it's another NintendoLand or a 3D platformer and not another board game type thing like Mario Party. On a totally separate note... "Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus"? Sounds like they're trying to compete with Capcom for the clunkiest game name ever.
  16. Still no sign of it on Amazon UK...
  17. With all this Majora's Mask hype, the purple artwork, the spooky trailers etc... it's really making me wish Nintendo would go down this route again for future Zelda games. It would be pretty sad if Zelda U was the same Ganon taking over Hyrule storyline for the millionth time. I wish they were more willing to take risks like they did with MM and Wind Waker.
  18. I think we're still in the middle of the 'being shoe horned into games' phase. I would imagine games from E3 onwards will be designed from the ground up to support amiibo whereas these ones now are just small little additions they threw in at the last minute.
  19. Surely, for the love of gawd, the voice chat discussion has been exhausted by now?
