  1. Having a massive world to explore is nice but at the end of the day it means nothing if the game itself isn't any good. I'm also very disappointed they seem to be using the Twilight Princess character animations, something that's two generations old. It doesn't look great especially compared with Wind Waker's animations.
  2. I much prefer that Wario amiibo to the Smash one. The Rosalina one though is nothing without her Luma. Though obviously I'll still buy all three. Damn you Nintendo.
  3. Unless of course you put it to a vote and get the consensus amongst a very reasonable sample size on IGN, the biggest neutral gaming site. In which case Nintendo won by a fair distance. There's also a shedload of Wii U exclusives the PS4 doesn't get. Where's Zelda or Pikmin or Mario Kart or Donkey Kong or Wonderful 101 or Captain Toad or NintendoLand etc etc. Exclusives work two ways. Nintendo clearly has the better set, ones that are actually critically adored.
  4. How about IGN? They put it to a vote... Nintendo won most votes in "Games", "Conferences" and "Overall" categories. Basically they won the lot in 2014. Well done for Sony to have PS Experience. Nintendo have Directs every two months.
  5. WTF, you can't be serious? 5/10 shovelware doesn't count. We're talking proper exclusives with critical acclaim.
  6. Sure we each had our various tastes and preferences but on the whole, it seemed to be common belief in the community Nintendo had the best E3 overall. Sony and Microsoft showed off their shooters and hack and slashs on day 0 then nothing after that. Nintendo kept the momentum going with the Smash invitational, Treehouse stuff, and reveals like Codename Steam and Devil's Third.
  7. I can completely understand that and I somewhat agree. I do think the Skyward Sword on stage c0ck up played a big part in why they abandoned on stage presentations.
  8. If that's all true then why the common belief that Nintendo "won" last year's E3? Their digital presentation was just non stop news and announcements, no time wasted, all about the games. Yes conferences are grander but I disagree they're the best way to deliver information. The Sony and MS conferences last year put me to sleep after an hour and a half. Though that could have been the fact that every game looked identical to the last.
  9. A Splatoon tournament would be great! (Only if there's voice chat though, obvs)
  10. Loving the cover plates, they look great quality. The wood one especially
  11. Last year's Digital Event was great, I loved it. I'd happily see Ninty go down that route again + lots of live treehouse demos. Maybe keep the big on stage presentations to new console announcements.
  12. Mind. Blown. Please carry on in that case! :P
  13. A serious wtf moment there. Seems I struck a nerve somehow.
  14. I'm aware of colour theory thanks.
  15. http://kotaku.com/why-every-game-and-movie-is-blue-orange-1683580394 http://orangeandtealgames.tumblr.com/page/2
  16. World class insight and analysis, right there.
  17. Wonder if they chose orange and blue on purpose
  18. You mean like the dozen first party games coming out this year? The 3DS barely has anything apart from Majora's Mask and Codename Steam.
  19. And then they get cancelled because they never had them to pre-order in the first place.
  20. You're wasting your breath, no one here cares.
  21. Always buy from Nintendo UK store
  22. Ok I take back my last post about wanting voice chat discussion to return. Now I know what it would be like to relive the same three days over and over, talking to the same people and hearing the exact same stories over and over.
  23. Another 15 pages of voice chat talk would be more bearable than the above going on much longer.
  24. In an effort to move this along back to gameplay discussion, I'll repost this vid from Gamexplain. Any of you who haven't seen it should watch, the amount of detail in the game looks great...
