  1. Playing through, I realise why the controls are so natural to me. They're essentially Smash Bros, like you said. It really is so similar. Enjoying it so far
  2. TBF, it's not like Nintendo UK have anything to do with E3
  3. Pokémon card amiibo to go with the Pokémon Badges in Badge Arcade to solidify their attempt to take all my bank balance
  4. Purchased
  5. I'd also want to digitally download it, but that means no Kirby amiibo :p ShopTo have the code for £27. £8 cheaper than the eShop and NUK Store
  6. Thing is, I'd want to jump in, but I'd end up wanting the amiibo and I have no room :p
  7. Sonic looks so weird haha
  8. Really tempted to jump into this. It'd be my first Kirby game.
  9. A load of pack leaks: http://brick-inquirer.com/2016/06/08/retailer-begins-to-list-lego-dimensions-series-2-year-2-packs-spoilers-ahead/
  10. To be fair, Nintendo have done events like this before. Spaceworld, for example, was an annual one with a load of reveals. They also did one for the 3DS and Wii U's launch details Thanks. I'll try and see if I can find the reports that I saw to the contrary too, but to be fair you are in a better position to get the data so I may just accept what you say.
  11. Really? Because I remember all the analysis things saying Nintendo dominated coverage and reach in 2014.
  12. I agree to an extent, but obviously something got delayed and they had to choose. I don't think holding a separate event will make things as bad as some think.
  13. But, conversely, Microsoft and Sony both showed off their consoles away from E3, and yet people question why Nintendo is doing the same. Also, Nintendo's booths at E3 have always been the busiest, even the last 3 years, and the 2014 Digital Event was incredibly well received.
  14. Well whenever they make big announcements, the mainstream media grab it, even when in Directs. Just because the Wii U hasn't done well doesn't mean Nintendo can't reach people. Come on. Wii U was a blip. If Nintendo hold a huge event for the NX, the media will come and cover it.
  15. E3 is no longer the focal point of the industry, though. Announcements come from everywhere now. If I were a company, I'd rather have my new product have the entire attention rather than share it. You can still get mainstream and specialist press involved. Look at Apple, they do it. Sony does it. Microsoft does it. Why can't Nintendo?
  16. But conversely, they need to do it at a juncture where it can make a splash. Revealing at E3, while awesome for us fanboys, will cause it to drop down on news sites quickly due to the vast amount of gaming news coming in that week. I'm thinking an August reveal is likely.
  17. Zelda E3 Collab Retweet
  18. I never really felt that Mario fit Mario 64 or Sunshine. It just didn't feel 100% right. Galaxy is much better, as it's more focused and more platforming rather than exploration. Now, I wouldn't be opposed to Nintendo doing another 3D adventure like 64 or Sunshine, but I think it shouldn't be Mario.
  19. God, you're grumpier than a Grumpig
  20. Size != quality. I'd rather a game with fun, tight levels that looks good to one with huge stuff where it's a slog to get through that also looks good. Please note that I'm not saying this looks bad. It doesn't. However, the original statement was that this is what Nintendo should aspire to and that's an erroneous assertion when Nintendo's games look this good already.
  21. Be fair. You can't call it a shambles just because of a hypothetical delay. There's no evidence of a further delay.
  22. Still surprised they didn't do a Wii U one, even if it was still sprite based. It's like perfect for it.
  23. A purported leak of "Year 2" Sonic the Hedgehog Harry Potter The Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them Adventure Time Ghostbusters Reboot Mission Impossible Teen Titans The Goonies Powerpuff Girls http://press-start.com.au/news/nintendo/2016/06/07/harry-potter-sonic-adventure-time-coming-lego-dimensions/
