  1. Well I'm looking to get these upgrades for my PC, not my laptop but yeah, that eases things a little. Just need to make sure I get everything sorted before ordering, since I hate spending money
  2. Hey, Just figured I'd ask a few of you this as I haven't really been keeping up with computer component news the last few years. If you are friends with me on FB or follow me on Twitter, you'll know I recently had a catastrophic PC failure in the worst possible time. I managed to fix this with a new graphics card and a laptop for backup, but I've recently come into a bit of extra cash so am considering completely overhauling my PC. Looking at the usual quadcore, 10GB RAM specs, but my question comes with the drives. Considering what I do, I need the computer to run as quickly and quietly as possible; boot times for my PC at the moment is at about 2 minutes to get to log in and another 2 minutes after logging in before it's properly usable and this can be unacceptable in times when I'm woken up because news has come. Although I have a laptop and that boots up in 10-30 seconds, I haven't been able to get all my software on it yet (some is incompatible due to my laptop being Windows 8) so it's not logical to do something big on it. I have been told that having a SSD as my primary drive and having Windows boot off of that causes incredibly fast bootups and running of the system. Has anyone had any experience of this? Does it really make things faster? Incidentally, my laptop in Windows 8 has Fast Startup, which is what cuts the time down. Is this exclusive to laptops, or will desktops have it? Thanks in advance
  3. There are loads of "achievements" in this game, which give you starite pieces. They usually are obtained by doing ridiculous things. I'm going to try and get them without looking at the hints. An example is getting a banana suit and a maraca...
  4. I do agree that the situation really is a bit bad. Despite my love for the system, last month I spent only 21 minutes on my Wii U (mind you, there was a load of Pokémon news that took my focus). If I hadn't managed to snap up Scribblenauts on Friday during the eShop area, it'd be a similar situation this month and through next month until Lego City, and possibly Monster Hunter. The unfortunate delay of the Q1 games has taken its toll. However, I maintain that it shouldn't be Nintendo's responsibility to fill up the gaps. The third parties should be releasing games too.
  5. Doesn't add up to the software sales we know of I mean in general regards to multiformat games
  6. Problem is, the console owners reportedly put restrictions on things for multiformat. Microsoft with the "must be simultaneous release if not out on the 360 before" and Sony apparently requests original content as much as possible on the PS3 version
  7. It still isn't the PR Person's fault. It's the higher ups who decided this that should be held accountable
  8. So, apparently Ubisoft is looking for a new public relations manager https://www.facebook.com/ubisoft/app_323666814360904
  9. Spent a good few hours on this today. Won't tomorrow as I have an article due Monday, but yeah. Some words are missing, but I checked and they are gone from the US one too. These are simple words like Beer, Wine etc. I'm guessing they don't want that implication, even though you can put things like a dead child in a cage to successfully lure a dinosaur into it. Does seem a little bit easier due to all the mini-puzzles, but rather than going for the obvious solution, I always try to shake things up. Great fun
  10. I'm looking forward to this, and Lego Marvel Super Heroes, far more than a 26 year old should
  11. http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=195811 If this is true, it's quite interesting that it may not actually be Ubisoft's fault entirely And from Ubisoft's page
  12. I know they said it's a different time, but I really want them to continue the Naval Mission mechanics they had in ACIII Those were amazing, I'd happily play a game that is just that.

  15. I would be very surprised if we don't hear about it happening around the 20th
  16. Yeah, I know, and it will be soon (before the end of the month), but it really isn't their job to do it.
  17. Why? Their last one was very sufficient. It's up to third parties to reveal what they're doing, not Nintendo.
  18. I love this game. Just found a Wallace & Gromit reference in the museum
  19. The game from the eShop
  20. Isn't the Dreamcast's launch a bit silly though. Due to the delay between Japanese and our launch, we got the second wave of games as our launch titles with the first wave Yeah, my room does collect dust easily :p
  21. It has apparently been removed
  22. I would assume so, when the game is actually out
  23. Can only see Miiverse atm
  24. Because it's technically not out, we can't post screenshots to the Miiverse community
  25. Got my morning exercise to do so just going to piss about on it for an hour
