  1. The Simpsons, being an obvious one, because, well, it wouldn't be the most popular show ever made without a great range of characters.

    For films...

Pulp Fiction (A God-fearing badass muthafucker, an passive, drug taking, atheist mobster; an over-confident bitch, hot-headed boxer, 'The Wolf', to name a few),

Reservior Dogs (Two psychos, one a cool, another loud with a short temper; a hard but level-headed gangster, a cop, and a bunch of other gangsters),

American Beauty (A man in a mid-life crisis, bitch of a wife, vengeful teenage daughter, her slutty friend, a creepy, perverted neighbor; and a fag hating col. who takes his position too seriously),

The lesser known Glengarry Glen Ross (All scum of the earth real estate agants, one similar to 'Gil' from The Simpsons)

Also, Knights of the Old Republic. They're annoying, but still OK. Theres Carth (suspicious sod), Bastilla (hard-up bitch), HK...(Awesome killing machine), Jolee (Sam L. Jackson meets Morgan Freeman), etc. etc.

  2. The Godfather pt.III

Shat on by most critics, and admittingly, there are problems (like coppola's acting etc.), but personally, I think it was a fitting ending to the Godfather saga about Michael Corleone begging to get out of the violent buisiness, but keeps being pulled right back in. A very strong script, although a bit rushed towards the end, and very beautifully shot which makes up for it's unfamiliality of the trilogy because of the absence of technicolor (which the previous two Godfather's were shot in). Overall, very good.

    Brick

It might have been because of the film I watched right before it, but I was expecting some sort of Godfather ending right after the final scene. But anyway, I enjoyed this film. It's nice to see something new and differant these days. If you don't know, it's basically a throw-back film-noir film, but set amongst high school students, where Brandon, our hero, investgates the death of his former girlfriend. The plot makes this film, and is very good, but the pacing is a bit uneven, and the whole teenage angle annoyed me a little towards the end.

    Glengarry Glen Ross.

Watched it again for the sake of it. It's a buisiness/crime story about a bunch of struggling real estate agents. The best part of the film is basically the already excellent cast (Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Kevin Spacey), all practically have tourettes in this film (Pacino goes on a swearing streak at spacey near the end, which is pretty awesome) , I mean, frikkin' heck, you have to watch it to see what I mean. There's a lot of dialouge, but still a very strong plot and script, with fantastic acting from evreyone.

  3. My Opinion? I can't have one, I don't know nearly enough about this topic to say anything.

Meh. Doesn't stop anyone else from having one.

If anyone comes to the UK, they should respect our countries beliefs, rules and decisions.

Its the same if an english woman goes to Iraq and goes outside they have to be fully covered up.

That's basically what I think. If it were the other way around, and someone from our country went to a mid-eastern country and didn't respect our beliefs, they would get shot. I'm not suggesting we shoot anyone with a veil, but, like said, If anyone comes to the UK, they should respect our countries beliefs, rules and decisions

Also, personally, I think the veil is holding back intergration within our communities, and we don't want that. Not in this day and age.

  4. Hoping to be applying to Cardiff (yep, a Welsh one) or Birmingham for Civil or Intergrated Engineering, but I'm not sure if my maths A-level result will be up there, which sucks because that is the cornerstone of the course.

Anyway, When is the deadline for UCAS? If anyone can help me.

(I still haven't even started filing yet, apart from a bit of the personal statement, so I'm a bit shakey about this)

  5. Frequency

Just sat down and decided to watch this on dvd as it has been ages since I seen it. It is an outstanding film which not many have heard of. If you like Time Travel flicks then give this a look.

Great film. Seen it about 4 or 5 years ago, and bits of it sice then on TV. I've been trying to find it on DVD for the last cou7ple of months, alas, no luck. I suppose I have to get onto Amazon.

    Anyway,

    The Player- 9/10

Very good film. Certainly one for the fans of films and the industryGreat ending.

  6. The Departed

Excellant movie. Strong script, great performances (especially from Nicholson. completely awesome from start to finish), and just had that Scorsese class spread all over it. The part with the strap-on was a bit fucked-up, but still...

Also saw The Full Monty again yesterday. 8.5/10. Still an enjoyable heart-warmer.

  7. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic- That bit.

Anyone who has played it will know what I'm talking about, and those who haven't, well, don't I suppose. If you haven't, I advise you should go play it, asap

Also, Jade Empire. Basically the same description as above, but swap the names

    Oh, and...
