So here's the deal: my friend brought this round this morning and it's even better than I thought it would be! It's much more than just Guitar Hero with drums and vocals. He bought the game on its own and brought round his GH II guitar, sometimes I used my GH II guitar and I used the X360 headset as a microphone. What with not knowing much other than the music I like, we played mainly In Bloom, Celebrity Skin and Dani California, as well as some ones on Band World Tour I have no idea about. It even seems to make singing better. At first I was nervous and laughing a bunch, but then I was happy to sing in front of my friend (who was mostly playing guitar, or at least bass when I was on the axe!) and it sounded better. I was singing on Easy because it made sense to, but I got 100 percent on Dani California's vocals. Woo! The problem is, what do I do now? I want to buy the bundle and game when it's dropped in price, but I like it so much! I can't see myself buying the game now and getting the microphone later though, and I'm not sure I'll even bother with the drum set if that's what I do. I'll probably just wait!

Capcom said "The credits were removed because they were a pre-rendered movie that contained the Clover logo. We have no legal right to use the Clover logo in a game they were not involved with directly". Make of that what you will. I'm not sure what's in the final movie because I haven't played the PS2 version I'm afraid.

Well, I might as well jump on the bandwagon. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Mind-blowing The Orange Box Fantastic Colin McRae Dirt Impressive

160 Microsoft Points, my friend. Harmonix said it could release an update to make Band World Tour playable online… but then, RedOctane said the same thing about making Guitar Hero II on the X360 online enabled at all (other than download content) and it never happened.
-
Obviously I can't say for sure and you're entitled to your opinion, but I doubt GH IV will turn out to be better than Rock Band, and almost certainly not Rock Revolution, nor do I think Rock Band is a title you'll tire from quickly. But I see where you're coming from completely - to spend around £180 on a game you want to get the most from it. Same! If you've got £180 to spend on a single game I don't really know what to think.

Guitar Hero II Addictive
-
You're right, I recalled the songs being 80 Microsoft Points each in the US but they're 160 as they are here.
-
Luckily I won't have to shell out for additional songs anytime soon what with not owning the game anyway, but I was just on the Marketplace and shocked to see the download content even costing more. How does that even work?! It's not like Harmonix has to pay import duties to provide Europeans with these songs… maybe it's the men in suits at EA. Either way, I'm really disappointed as I dread how much Nevermind will retail at.

Contradictory. This is why I wanted people to just post one game at a time. That way they wouldn't have ended up posting meaningless comments just to try and be funny.

N-Europe Needs You! Worst GameCube Games
NotAshley replied to NotAshley's topic in General Gaming Discussion
When I say 'feature' I mean we're running a big feature to say goodbye to the Cube. There will be reviews, the top 50 games (which I believe have been finalised) and then other pieces - one of those is a feature (like the Leaders Of Innovation? one I recently wrote) about whether the Cube was a failure, and even the best consoles have rubbish games! Thanks for your contribution by the way. -
N-Europe Needs You! Worst GameCube Games
NotAshley replied to NotAshley's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I'm not going to put a series of games. I'm looking for about ten different games that you (and any other readers) think are the tripe of the Cube. -
As some of you are no doubt aware we're currently in the process of writing a massive feature to give the GameCube a final goodbye. I'll be starting work on part of this soon, and a section of the feature will have the worst Cube titles put to shame! This is where you come in. To clarify, I need you peeps to post the Cube games you think suck. It's not nice to spend money on a game and then find out it's unworthy of the disc it's been placed on, so here's an opportunity to get your own back! Thanks dudes, Ashley

This can include Wii, DS and Cube titles, but I've decided to post it in the Other Consoles forum so we can review games across several platforms. They can be as old or new as you like as well, just please only post one review at a time, not several in one post. Oh, and there's nothing to say you can't review a game that's already been given the one word treatment either! I'm going to go for the obvious… Wii Sports Refreshing

Which drives my point further: Red Octane was the developer that oversaw Guitar Hero, but now it's gone on to copy Harmonix's next movements which it had nothing to do with.
-
Who knows, maybe your postie enjoys rhythm action games.
-
Screw this, I'm going with Rock Band when its price drops. Red Octane has decided to completely copy Harmonix on this one, and it's a little narrow-minded to include other instruments in a game with the word 'guitar' in its title. Unless a revolutionary track list is revealed, I'll be avoiding this.

Well, it was Xbox World 360 who printed it by the looks of the mag design, so I'd say it's case closed! :p

I think you're forgetting something, it's a "cool Pokémon MMO"!
-
It won't happen, and if it does I'll eat my hat! It would be nice to see a Pokémon MMO in the future but if we ever see one it'll be created by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, not a small independent developer. Hopefully this will at least give Nintendo a bit of a shove and make it aware that fans want a massively online version of the game. I wouldn't object to that, but I'd rather it be on the Wii than the DS (though there's potential they could coexist).
-
That would be great! When fat people step up for a go they'll be alerting guards what with their loud footsteps and all. Then they'll get tired out from all the running and die a slow, painful death. Just like real life!
-
I think so - by utilising the balance board to act as a cover system in an FPS, for example, the developer would be overcomplicating things.
-
That is indeed me. What seems to be the problem? It would seem a lot of people have trouble finding the difference between a preview and a review. This was the former - I didn't lie in any way - it's not a hands-on preview, so you shouldn't feel cheated whatsoever.
-
I'm going to be boring and say I'd like to see a Resident Evil boxset containing 0, 1, 2, 3 (Nemesis), 4: Wii Edition and Code: Veronica X. Also, a Black port would be awesome!
-
I haven't played it on the Wii yet unfortunately but I'm unaware of any control issues; if anything I'd imagine the Remote makes using the Celestial Brush easier. Speaking of US sales, here's what Mr Whatsisname said!
