Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)
Invisible Painting replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah I saw the pictures, and I must say that the Japanese gamers have such a better sense of humour the the American ones, theirs were way better I did love the evolution and Yoshi ones. -
To be honest, it may be a good idea to show A game at NMS for the Wii, as at the moment Nintendo don't have anything announced upcoming for release. And while yes they've said they have a lot to announce at E3, by releasing interest in an upcoming game could help to keep a bit more interest in the console, i.e. people still wanting to buy the console over the next couple of months before they unveil the biggies at E3 with the future promise of games coming out.

A bit of a price cut maybe, but by the amount that the main site is reporting is a bit far imo. Maybe to £150, but down to £120 doesn't really make any sense to me, people will still note the £150 price as good, dropping it by another £30 just doesn't seem good business by Nintendo to me.

You can only get access to it if you have a TV licence :p But then again I can access it from my PC and I don't have one It's possible they'll put some system up though similar to how Sky Anytime doesn't allow you access unless you own Sky. But yes, this will be quite useful to me next year at uni when I can actually access it online lol, as my laptop is a bit funny with the iplayer and because I have a Mac I can't download with it. Eh I only watch Doc Who on BBC anyway

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)
Invisible Painting replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I still think it will be released about June time, I don't think they're going with September. If Nintendo really do have a few aces up their sleeves for the Winter there isn't that much point in holding off Smash to be one of them. June makes kinda sense, and the rumours that have come out (Ie. the date change on the website before they removed it a few months ago) seem to point to Junish over something else. The website is being stopped updating on Monday, after people have bought Mario Kart but before all the attention needs to be on Wii fit, Monday makes sense to release the date then. Plus them deciding to wait 3 days to finish updating the site rather then just doing it on a Friday doesn't really make much sense to me. They've put more then one update one the site a day before. I hold the idea they just don't want the date to distract from Mario Kart and that's why they're not releasing it over the last couple of weeks. -
Wii White GameCube Pad Getting released in Japan
Invisible Painting replied to Deathjam's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah agreed they should make a Wii Gamecube controller, but this is pretty similar to one to be honest. But I'm in the fans who already have a wavebird and wouldn't need to pick one up But if more games start using Gamecube controllers they should start selling them again with the Wii audience in mind. -
Yeah but that also implies the game's just easier with a Gamecube pad I would try out the wheel first though, it's the new system and if I did buy the game, it would probably help to differentiate it slightly from DD from a first experience POV. I'd probably as mentioned before go with the Cube pad, but I would definitely try the wheel out first.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)
Invisible Painting replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Well, you know what he meant was true Anyway it's a shame some of us won't be able to play it properly until a certain point, but we'll all get there eventually. It's just a shame on us lot for now, but we'll all get there -
I like Nintendo, about as much as ever before. I've not always been a Nintendo first fan, I used to follow Sega but when they dropped out the race I joined Nintendo pretty much instantly. I had an N64 though and that was my first proper Nintendo console, since I got a SNES late in the game and only got the Mario games on it But I really like the N64, still. I got a Gamecube on Launch and have never regretted it, I've got tons of great games on there. And I've got a Wii now, and don't regret that one in the slightest at all. I've got Mario Galaxy, Zelda, will have Smash about about 4 other games I'm glad I bought the console for. The PS3 there is simply NOTHING I want on it, nothing at all. 360 beats it slightly only because it will have Banjo and a couple of other games looked ok. But Nintendo games for me still are the best, they're the ones I'm interested in. I'm not one of these people who needs loads of games on a console or anything, only the ones I want on it. I only buy a game specifically when I want it I don't go into a shop and buy a game because I don't have one for that month. Nintendo offers me the games I want, where other consoles don't. I'm sticking with Nintendo for now and as far as I can see into the future I will. You don't get their games elsewhere.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)
Invisible Painting replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I know, I've played on my friends one with a freeloader which showed me how easy and cool it is. But my TV here at uni wouldn't be able to display US games anyway (It's soo bad it's not even got 60hz on it) and games play a bit blurry as it is so I won't be able to get it until June (When I return home to a good Tv ). I expect we'll have a date by then, as said in another thread I think they'll release the date on the last Dojo update on April 14, ie once MK Wii is out so people will have already bought that and not to take attention away. At which point if it's in June I will just wait till the date. However if a date isn't announced by June or they announce it and it's September or something I will import. -
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)

I take it there will be another tournament once more of us European gamers get our hands on the game as well right? -
Yeah, but most when asked now probably wouldn't agree with that Same with Mario Sunshine, everyone raved about it at the time and now loads of people look down on it. Reviews aren't enough to get me to buy a game, nor put me off one. I will use them sometimes as a guide to help confirm or deny my present thoughts about a certain game if I'm uncertain. But everyone saying they love MK Wii for instance isn't enough to get me to buy it, as my issues are my issues. And I need to work them out to help me decide. But one thing I think (in relation to this thread) everyone can agree on is the fact that MK Wii will be fun, I don't think anyone's denying that. But people who are probably in agreement with me will be looking deeper then that, that isn't enough. Because the argument of 'we've already got 5 of these' still stands for me, and it being good is just something I expected anyway, I need more then that.

Yeah, one thing I just thought of is that they're stopping the Brawl updates on April 14, the only entry dated after the European release of Mario Kart. Could they be simply waiting to release that date after Mario Kart has come out so people don't decide to wait for that instead As for this discussion though, storymode no. Not needed and most games (with the exception of Diddy Kong Racing) racing or other sports wise have just turned out pointless and something you do skip. So no I don't think that's necessary or a problem. I have never been excited about this though, my main argument (Which I've had since it was first announced and in fact before that) is I have 4 older Mario Karts anyway, I just don't feel I need to buy a new one for the sake of it. The previews aren't helping, sure it will be a fun multiplayer, but I usually buy a game more for the single player to be honest. I prefer tighter courses I think, wider ones can work as well (Just look at Wario Stadium N64) but not for all of the courses. I'm not going to get this until the summer anyway, at which point I'll likely get Smash first. I might consider getting this but not until late summer at the earliest likely. But the only new feature that really made me go 'ooh' for this game was the fact that you could use your Mii's, as I've said all the other new features were to be expected really.

I figured it was a dream as they wouldn't write out Adama But still yes a very good episode, handled very well and I hope the season continues in this way. As for who's the final Cylon, I wouldn't really bother guessing we're not going to be right. Or at least that's the philosophy I'm taking I'll just be surprised.

True I've never met anyone that quirky at a game store of any kind. But yeah ask her out on a date and then play on her Smash Brothers There are bonuses to relationships Yeah Pokemon they took a good week and a half to get it to me, same with something else which escapes my mind. Day the Smash date is actually announced I'll probably pre-order it from some shop, but that will depend by if I'm at uni at the time of release or not.

Yeah, I don't think Roselia or whatever her name is established enough of a personality to deem being in the game. I figured it would be her though until someone suggested a Luma, I think that could work quite well and hope it is one personally.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)
Invisible Painting replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Well if you think about it the original Star Fox level is in this as well, with just the graphical update from Melee. But I agree with people there are a couple of Melee ones I'd like to see as well (Namely Hyrule Castle and Silph Co.) and one or two of those should have been included instead of the Melee Samus level and Kirbys one. -
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)
Invisible Painting replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
That''s one of the levels I plan to remake with the mapmaker As for the pirate ship, it's not just about possible locations but recognisable ones as well. I think that the pirate ship (or a boat) is probably one of the central things about WW, and think it's a good choice. I also think it looks beautiful and the Dragon Roost Isle music goes over it perfectly -
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (100% Spoiler-Free Topic)
Invisible Painting replied to Tellyn's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah Reggie said that as they knew Brawl wouldn't come out in Spring they moved Mario Kart and Wii Fit to there, so odds are they wouldn't start production until those had largely met some form of demand. Meaning (and this is purely speculation) they won't start production on Brawl discs until about May, if it was to come out then. -
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (100% Spoiler-Free Topic)
Invisible Painting replied to Tellyn's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I think the point is it's still roughly within/close to a month of both of those games, I don't see Brawl coming out till late May at the earliest really, although I'm guessing June personally. But with Mario Kart and Wii Sports it wouldn't really make sense to bring out the third big title within a few weeks of those as well business wise. -
Yeah but a lot of that stuff was to be expected, online and stuff. And as a result there being online wouldn't so much help raise the score so much as not lower it. Things like Miis ect are new and the channel, but when you have 5 games in the series already reviewers are likely to not be as impressed by it and the basic game is likely to get a bit less emphasis.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)
Invisible Painting replied to Ashley's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I just think they haven't really known, I think they might now and am in the list of people who thinks they will release the date on the last day of the Dojo. But they won't release anything until they have an exact date, not just a rough one. So one may have not been decided yet and they just didn't release any more information. -
Legend of zelda the movie 2009
Invisible Painting replied to The-chosen-one's topic in General Chit Chat
Yeah I've got to say I was impressed by the effort in this trailer. Obv fake but still I was impressed. I thought Ganon looked okay though, no real problem with him. But comparred to that cartoon that was made this would be more of a direction to take with a Zelda movie But still I wouldn't have liked to have seen this as a movie.
