A Day In The Life is my favourite beatles song. Revolver is my favourite beatles album, just think they got the mix of playful and experimental perfect with that record.

That would be nice too But I dunno, something cannot replace the thrill of being James Bond on facility. Perfect Dark had slightly superior gameplay to Goldeneye, but not superior character or style. Even so, I would take it - I just want Goldeneye more!

Ok, My bad man. I was under the impression you didnt like them from reading Oxigens post. I kinda remembered somebody who didnt like them on here though - maybe it was somebody else. Paj something? Even so, the point of my post remains. Most people do not like the beatles cos they over indulge in their sugar coated early music and not enough in the genius of the latter years. Or they rebel and hate them for the sake of it, prolli cos of over listening to them due to the likes of a parent?

No. This thread lately seems to have just turned into you undermining peoples opinions if they are not close to your own and its kind of getting annoying. tbh only somebody truely deaf could not like at least 1 song by the beatles. It would appear to me that chairdriver sees the beatles as making cheesy love songs and singing cliche lyrics. He basically has that view from the medias over-portrayal of their mop-top early years. please listen to Revolver, Rubber Soul, Abbey Road, The White Album, Magical Mystery Tour and Sgt Peppers, then accept that you have been converted. the beatles have a very rich psychedelic sound (Lennon) and do dark story telling (Mccartney) at its very best. Only way you could hate the beatles is to not be properly educated or informed on their music.

Not really. Plenty of stealth involved and the strong enemy AI makes up for the basic aspects of the gameplay. Goldeneye is still on par with most current generation games. The 1 player still stands up to this day, I went into playing it recently expecting it to be outdated and it just wasnt. The multiplayer, maybe. Now we have seen games such as Timesplitters, Call Of Duty, Halo and Gears Of War since Goldeneye's release it is hard to go back to it and get the same thrill. But even with that said, its still pretty fuckin solid and with Xbox Live support would be very playable.

Ed Wood - Tim Burtons best film imo. About Edward Wood, who is highly regarded as the worst director of all time and it shows his process of making movies. Unintentionally hilarious, brilliant characters (Lugosi in particular is a perfect portrayal), emotional in the right places and has a good message at its core. The film is about the joy of releasing a film, regardless of how shoddy the outcome is. Watching an old man who is near to death wrestle with a big fake octupus in a freezing cold river, with johnny depp looking on with the enthusiasm of a director filming an oscar winning scene is pure classic. Ed Wood isnt for everyone, but I connect with it alot. 9/10

I disagree ^^^ I think you can really tell that the graphics have been updated and it stands up with most shooters of the last generation (PS2 etc.) graphically. The gameplay on Goldeneye is still ace, I played it recently and the single player especially (the multiplayer is still good, but not as good as back in the day) has something attached to it that is timeless. Nintendo are idiots blocking this release. Tbh it makes it seem like they are sour they are unable to compete with the 360 version, cos they released a console with Gamecube graphics and no online capabilities - so are blocking the release.

No I am saying I can relate to the characters more then then I can to the characters of Superbad. Everybody knows why American Pie was created and that is essentially a laugh fest with idiots. But it still has a human story at its core and however slight it is, I relate to it more then the mess of Superbad. As you can probably tell, Superbad was average to me.

No im saying my friendship group was divided by the sporty kid, the quirky kid, the trouble maker, the quiet one and the kid in the shadow of his older brother. The acts of the characters in the film are fabricated to appeal to a comedy audience, so of course the characters do stupid shit. Take that away and look at the human side of the film though and your see that the group in American Pie is fairly normal.

My friendship group at high school was so like the group in American Pie it is untrue. Why is that so hard to believe? Does ever male teenager have to be like Mclovin and the lads? Cos that was a small section of my school

American Pie isn't about dick jokes and toilet humour, it's about Guy Love. All the pie pounding and shitting at school in the wrong toilet are just a shrink-wrap for what the story is actually about, which is a group of friends who want to help each other lose their virginity and share one last sacrid moment together before the inevitable break-up college will provide to their group. That's why the film is popular, beause it speaks to people.
