Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
broadwayrock replied to Retro_Link's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Hehe im enough of a nerd to get that. I wonder why the DS gets 4 player Co-Op and the rest only get 2? Usually the handhelds get less features on these multi format games -
Kind of works. If you see the example of Apple and the iPod. They keep things quiet right up until the full anouncement then they release it a few weeks later.

Tag&Rename does + it saves it to the album folder if you search by Amazon rather than FreeDB. But alas it is not free unless you aquire it from *cough cough* dubious sources.

Ebuyer only seem to have the old Zen Vision in stock not the Zen Vision: M. savastore reckon they come in at 1-2 weeks at £234.99 excluding postage. http://www.savastore.com/productinfo/product.aspx?catalog_name=Savastore&product_id=10286131&pid=45&tid=279 or importing from yesasia for £224.87 http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/code-c/section-electronics/pid-1004101117/

Silent Hill 5 Exclusively for Revolution!?
broadwayrock replied to jakeee's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It could be because the Silent Hill movie is out in a few months time, which is before E3. -
The most Tarantino did for this film was raise the money for it by allowing his name to be attached to it. Eli Roth previously directed Cabin Fever which was a very gory but average horror film. I might rent it for the gore but im not expecting a decent film.

I dont think they should make a series of Lost beyond season 2. It would be very difficult to milk the story beyond what they are currently doing in Season 2. Re season 1 boxset: I would recomend the region 1 boxset. You get the whole season in one package for £32 as opposed to £50 (£25 x 2) for two parts.

Actually Creative seem to be conservative with regards to video battery life. According to a recent review: "The Zen Vision:M managed to play nearly three complete movies, a total playback time of 4 hours 43 minutes, nearly a full hour more than claimed" http://monsternet.org/reviews/zenvisionm/page7.php This is a recent battery life comparison from a french website with serveral players including the Vision: M and 5G iPod (the numbers are displayed in minutes) : http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/trurl_pagecontent?lp=fr_en&trurl=http%3a%2f%2fwww.clubic.com%2farticle-30174-1-le-duel-de-fin-d-annee-ipod-5g-zen-vision-m.html With regards to the iTunes AAC format: Apple will not allow any other company's players to be compatible with it. You will need to use something like hymn to remove the drm protection: http://www.hymn-project.org/ then iTunes or dbpoweramp can convert it to mp3 or whatever file you want.

I would go for the Zen Vision: M. It pretty much trumps the 5G iPod in all areas apart from looks. If you care features and functionality get the Zen Vision M, whereas If you care about style or design get the iPod (nothing else will sway you) Herr when you say you got all your music in itunes does that mean its all AAC as opposed to mp3?

recommend any manga/japanese films?
broadwayrock replied to spirited away's topic in General Chit Chat
Wild Zero is probably one of the worst Japanese films ive ever seen. Its not even 'so bad that its good' type of bad. If you are a fan of Ghibli then see this boxset: http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/pid-1003739698/section-anime/code-c/version-all/ £145 for 11 double disc films in a lovely box (these also are suppose to have the best transfers for each film) -
Like the most recent creative players, the Zen Vision M has USB Mass Storage. This means you can drag and drop files into the player as you would with a external hard drive. It has a far better screen resolution than the iPod video and about double the battery life for video playback. You should be wary of buying on off ebay. It be a refurbishment unit and it might prove difficult to get a replacement if it turns out faulty. Also it plays back all the major video codecs (DivX & XviD etc) and does not require any software conversion to play the video files.

The drawers joke was the funniest joke in the film and it would be a deep shame to have it cut out of the film. Its how childrens films in the 80s can have very adult humour. I remember in E.T one of the kids uses the term "penis breath" as an insult.

I wonder how many Revolution games will go gold between now and May 2006.

I love the pc version and play spent more hours on its team deathmatch than on any other online game. Using a analogue controller would ruin it for me after using keyboard and mouse setup.

I absolutely hate Pete and Geoff when they do the morning show together. But i quite like them separately especially Pete Mitchell's razor cuts.

The director of Cypher made a film called Cube. Its a nice low budget horror/thiller.

nah....i understood it too.

I want YOU, to show ME, your instrument of CHOICE.
broadwayrock replied to Twozzok's topic in General Chit Chat
*unzips trousers Anyway....... ive always wanted to buy a fender precision bass. In the mean time i have midi keyboard to play around with........but its packed away in my cupboard due to laziness of not wanting to learn. -
Which strangely Brett Ratner left..... and now he directs the film that Bryan Singer left. Its a neverending cycle.

My bedroom door and attic door got pulled open from that blast.

A studio cannot magically make a writer or director create a piece of work that is of a higher standard than what they have produced in the past. If they could do that then they would be no flops. I always use a persons past resume as a measuring stick on what to expect for their current project. By no means is that a way of guarenteeing on what the final output will be like, but it is a reliable way to see whether film is going to be good or not. The most important thing for a film is a good screenplay, and the script details posted on aintitcool.com doesnt bode well for this movie. It comes across like a rehash of the second film with some new characters (kind of like Terminator 3 was a rehash of Terminator 2) . It does have some promissing things in it: The Jean Grey as a girl flashback, the angel subplot and the danger room makes an appearance. Things such as Wolverine having a fling with Storm just sound tacked on. If anyone is interested in reading it you can find it here: http://www.aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=20443 Though the studio could have inforced some major last minute rewrites on this script, it should be close to how it will appear on the big screen. PS. Gambit did make a small cameo in this script, but it isnt clear whether its a non speaking cameo or something more.

X-Men 3 is directed by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour 1&2) and being written by Zak Penn (Elektra, Fantastic Four and the story of Xmen 2) and Simon Kinberg (Mr. & Mrs. Smith, xXx: State of the Union). Bryan Singer took the screenplay writers of Xmen 1&2 with him for Superman Returns. What are the odds of this film being as good as the previous 2 X-Men films?

I have not really kept up with the new bands until the second half of the year so: Arcade Fire - Funeral I love it when a band comes along and does not sound like any of its peers. Josh Rouse - Nashville At first i was really dissapointed in this album. It seemed like leftovers from his previous album 1972. But it was a grower: 'My Love Has Gone' turned out to be one of my favourate songs this year. Block Party - Silent Alarm Although i find the album patchy towards the end, when they are on target they can amaze. 'Banquet' is a superb song. Sufjan Stevens - Illinois I only found out about this guy last month. The album has wonderful arangements and a varied approach to songwriting, something few artists in America have at the moment. Does Lullabies To Paralyze require more listens? because ive only heard it twice and found it a noticable step down in quality compared to the previous two albums. Unearthed Gem Every so often i come accross a band that transports me to a different world when i listen to them and i have to listen to all their albums (ie: Pixies, Replacements, Go Betweens): Triffids - Born Sandy Devotional It took me about 6 months of listening to truely understand this album by the '80s Austrailian band. It is very much a 'grower' album. Even though it was recorded in London it sounds so much like some Austrailian landscape in the outback. There are echos of other bands such as Velvet Underground and the Go Betweens, yet they manage to make those influences their own. Its also refreshing to come across a lyricist whom can create a mini novel in a five minute like Bob Dylan and Neil Young. The song 'Wide Open Road' help mend a broken heart earlier this year. Although their are more highlights in their following albums: 'In The Pines' and 'Calenture', this is the album that started it all for me. Future Recommendations The Strokes - First Impressions Of Earth I liked their first album (even though it was heavily overhyped) and was disappointed with their second album, but i got hold of a 'preview' copy of their third album it is much better than the second one. The Strokes have matured as a band and have become more adventurous in their sound. Better than the White Stripes disappointing latest album.

I cant stand Chico. He is one of those novelty acts who no one will care about after the single he releases once the show ends. The ones who i think have the most talent are Andy,Shayne,Brenda, Maria. What do you think about the rumours of the show being fixed? The judges do seem to be doing some tactical voting.

The BBC Finally Gives Us A GOOD Computer Games Show!
broadwayrock replied to a topic in General Chit Chat
Iain Lee presents a very good talk radio show in london now, though He seems to be excited about the 360 than anything else at the moment. Re bits: Does anyone remember that there was a blonde woman presenting the show before Emily Booth replaced her. Channel 4 had a companion show to bitz called Vids. That was the funniest show on tv.
