And yes, I have a Ninja Turtles duvet and a Pikachu plushie. Because I'm THAT awesome.

  2. I always tell them it's what I would do and it's up to you whether you follow what I'd do or not. I hate it when people come back and blame me, I just say 'I didn't force you, I just told you what I would do' and then they agree, haha.

This sounds like the best idea, TBH. They come to you because they value your opinion, ergo they must think that whatever you would do is something worth trying out. Even if it fails.

  3. Zelda TP suffered because it was ported to the Wii. They seem to be developing this to use Motion Plus, if they decide to make it optional, they would have to program the controls to use both, possibly harming the final game. They seem to be building this from the ground up for the M+, I don't see why such a game wouldn't be benefited from it.

Seems to be some sort of mistranslation, its the other way around.

This is an important point. It doesn't matter if it's MotionPlus or not as long as the controls are properly designed from the ground. That being said, if they can truly implement MotionPlus in the game, it could offer some great swordsplay mechanics.

    Majority has been reached!

    "So, Bowser, huh?"

People didn't trust the spiked turtle and ganged up on him. Despite his attempts to explain himself, his fate had seemed inevitable from the start. As his dying breath escaped him, he cursed the higher powers for giving him such a difficult role in life.

Vicar is dead. He was Bowser, who, though normally a bad guy, had a softer side to him. He didn't want to see Nintendo Land ruled by unscrupulous people and would help the town by sending out his Koopa Troopa minions to track someone at night, thereby finding out who he or she targetted. He was good.

    Night 2 begins now.

  5. However, films are a lot easier to classiy as either or than Music, which is just a minfield of opinions.

Alien is a good film, Batman & Robin is a bad film.

Superhero Movie is a bad film, There Will Be Blood is a good film.

And so on. That's nothing to do with enjoyment really. I vasty enjoy Batman & Robin for it's OTT campiness from both Uma Thurman and Arnie, but I'm under no illusion of it's quality. :)

That's fair enough. A film can certainly be judged upon criteria, and in that sense you can argue that a film is "good" or "bad". :)

  6. I disagree. I open up most and easiest when around friends, and I know I can tell them about my deepest feelings. Our friendships are based on truly being ourselves, and so I have a hard time imagining our friendships being ruined should we one day need to pour our hearts out. Sure, we may be startled, disturbed, get angry or sad, but in the end I think we'd emerge stronger than before.

  7. Oh no....you didn't....oh god you did......you said it....that arugment.....not again....*waits for Bard/Oxigen to come storming into thread :o

Love Banksies work, so cool and individual. Seems so different to my other favourite artist, Kandinsky. i know nothing of art apart from the fact i like those two

Don't worry, I'm not gonna argue art with him. :heh:

I seek out and enjoy and want to experience amazing films. And I enjoy them. And i dislike bad films/pointless films/films that leave you with nothing.

And obviously it's "all subjective!!!", but in regards to what the universe regards as "good" in film, I usually really enjoy, or at least appreciate. But that sounds like I like them because they're known for being good, which isn't true. But knowing what is highly regaded helps me find a lot of amazing films.

I see. :) Though I still don't like the use of terms like "good" films and "bad" films, as those two adjectives tell us about as much about a film as the adjectives "English" or "French" would do.

  8. You rock, Coolness!

Anyway, I had one of those dreams last night. So yeah, my reaction when I woke up: "Aw, damn."

It's funny, though. Dreams of that kind - almost without exception - always feature the same girl which I've been friends and neighbours with since we were both very young. We were kinda BF/GF when we were about 10, but it was never serious - we were just kids. Since then we've just been very close friends, but nothing more than that. I don't have any special feelings for her - except, it seems, feelings of sexual attraction. I don't know if it's because we're so close or if it's because we've more or less seen each other naked - she's pretty ordinary when it comes to looks and body - but she seems to occupy a special place in my mind.

I don't even know why I'm telling you this. *shrugs*

  9. Well, ignoring music, I think I have a pretty good taste in films and visual art, if you can really have a taste in either.

See, I've never liked this sentence. What the heck is "good" taste? When art and taste is so subjective and personal, how can we make a universal scale or grading capable of classifying tastes as "good" or "bad"? Isn't that what subjectivity implies: That the opinion on something is entirely relative to the individual person's taste?

  10. Whoa, deep stuff, guys.

I'm afraid I won't be of much help, as I really don't know know how to handle such situations. While I've never experienced it to the same degree as you, I am also the type of guy who tries to help my friends in any way that I can. Often it's not too serious, and thus it's not too hard to give some advice, but I do remember a few times where I've thought: "Damn, this is actually quite serious," and that made me it more difficult because I knew more was at stake.

So yeah, I'm afraid I really don't know what else to say.

  11. It's amazing. I never get dreams that are so "cliché" in the sense that they are mysterious, but obviously carry some deeper meaning about your subconscious. I can mostly recognise little bits and pieces in my dreams from the day before, otherwise they're just random and crazy. :blank:
