  1. An easter egg in the game... My theory on the Adventure Mode is that the story mode has a fixed structure to it, with fix confrontations and battles taking place but... Observe the screenshot below: This opening scene is a fixed part of the adventure, however, I believe the characters of Zelda and Peach being there are not. Depending on the characters you select, they appear in the corresponding sections within the fixed scenes, now seeing that there are two other than Mario & Kirby here, this leads me to believe this story mode does include co-op play with a 2nd player (Zelda 1st player and Peach 2nd player). Now in the case of choosing Mario/and or Kirby, they'd merely be substituted by one or two other random characters available right from the very start. This carries through throughout the entire adventure with quick movie clips being shown at certain stages in the story mode when you reach certain "checkpoints" that'll trigger off a movie clip relating to the character shown as seen in todays update (i.e.): So I don't think this is a mode, where you just choose to play it and thats it, I reckon you still are able to choose the character(s) you will play the story mode with... Regarding Snake information, I don't reckon there will be any updates on Snake until September around TGS.
  2. There is one thing that is absolutely certain and i'm willing to put ten thousand pounds on this very fact. There is no way RE5 will surpass the critical acclaim received by the legendary Resident Evil 4, arguably the best game of the new millenium (next to Metroid Prime). ABOVE STATEMENT IS "NOT" LEGALLY BINDING!
  3. No, I think it's just the one mode, but within the mode, to differentiate it when you play with different characters, a few different quick clips play at certain points throughout the adventure which may link in with a few additional special areas relevant to the character you chose. But it'd follow a fixed structure with fixed confrontations and battles as per the original adventure mode in Melee (e.g. all fight Master Hand at the end, some wire frames etc) but this time it has more story behind it, again relating to the character you choose to play the Subspace Emissary with...
  4. Simple solution. Don't buy the game in the first place, that'll make em' think twice about boycotting Nintendo home consoles if the demand is less than desired... Average reviews compared to the all time great Resident Evil 4 would also be handy as well...
  5. Two whole days without an update. This is going to be one very long weekend...
  6. How can this be Wiis GT when its also coming to PS3? Nintendo needs an exclusive realistic racing system to compete properly with the Gran Turismo franchise... This game won't change a thing unfortunately...
  7. I also experienced problems viewing the video, but drag it back to the start a few times and play it back again and you'll find that'll eventually load the last bit on the end that wasn't loading at first...
  8. That makes sense. Goddess of light, transparent, the green long hair, it all fits... ^-- Won't let me hotlink image but is located at http://www.flyingomelette.com/kidicarus/kidicaruschars.html
  9. Anyone recognise which character is facing Pit in this screenshot? Definitely female... Possibly Medusa as part of playing adventure mode as Pit? But then again theres transperency with the character suggesting shes a ghost/supernatural creature of some kind...
  10. UPDATE = What is the Subspace Emissary? Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The Subspace Emissary is a robust side-scrolling action game! - This is the Subspace Emissary! - More than anything, Smash Bros. is a competitive action game. People have been kind enough to praise its multiplayer, but we’ve never been able to create a fully fleshed out single-player game. This time, though, we’ve managed to create a complete side-scrolling action game. It’s storyline isn’t overwrought—it’s hastened along by a bunch of quick movies. The Adventure mode also emphasizes character development. You’ll see many famous characters persevering under the weight of their personal histories, shouldering their unique burdens... It’s really something you won’t see anywhere else. [MOVIE CONTAINED WITHIN UPDATE ON WEBSITE...] With so many wonderful characters appearing together, it’s like a dream action game. We’re putting tons of fighting spirit into making this game, so I hope you’re all looking forward to it. Oh, and this is all included in the same Game Disc, so rest easy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Without a doubt, the best and most significant site update thus far. What a way to end weekday updates for another week! Peach also reconfirmed as a returning playable character...
  11. I am eager to see what the underground section looks like. I might play around with the image and see if I can see anything...
  12. Just arrived home now to find this update. Cool indeed. I mentioned the very fact yesterday possibly about how you get to the interior of the castle and I was right! ^----------------
  13. You know how you see the warfare going on the castle grounds in the trailer, I reckon, they fire projectiles at the castle which breaks a chunk of the castle off and you fall into the interior section... How it reverses back I don't know.
  14. A signed copy from Charles Martinet and/or Miyamoto would go for a mint...
  15. The unveiling of Ike just now, virtually confirms that there'll be a Fire Emblem themed stage in the game. The castle may just be it, although the interior looks more like Kid Icarus, as the back wall monument on the wall matches with the symbol on his gauntlets... I reckon we may just find out whats the deal with this castle stage once and for all this week either tomorrow (Thursday) or Friday...
  16. Roy is a certainty to go, but Marth could remain...
  17. Gee, Links got his work cut out for him...
  18. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nearly 3 hours LATE, a new record for the smashbros.com website, but the update has finally arrived. UPDATE = IKE <-- NEW CHARACTER From Fire Emblem, Ike appears! The fact that he can wield a two-handed sword with a single hand is a testament to his magnificent strength. His brings his special move "Aether" with him as he crashes the Brawl party. Try for a single-stroke finishing blow with his mighty blade!
  19. Toads gotta be playable this time round...
  20. Mines definitely gonna be Snake. I'm looking forward to giving him a good kick up the arse for the lack of Nintendo love, but will eventually feel sorry for him and perhaps boost him beyond the "smash sap" label...
  21. While we wait for this record late update drought to break, who is everyones least favorite character so far that you are likely to make the "smash sap" in your copy of the game? Refresh Count: 1000
  22. It'll be an average update, whenever it happens in true Sakurai style. Teases us, again and again and again...
  23. Maybe hes too busy having fun and playing with the game, teasing us with the "ultimate" online experience, they are yet to unveil...
  24. A cheap way to get site hits perhaps?
