Has Lucas been in more than one game? If not, it strengthens the possibility of Geno being the last remaining playable character, due to high demand in Sakurais survey. Although, i'd much prefer Megaman as the final third party character, as I and many others have said all along, Sonic & Megaman for Brawl. Samus vs Megaman, the ultimate battle of the arm cannons! My idea for Megamans stage in Melee is as follows: The design would be based on the 1st stage of Megaman X and its flat nature (there'd be a few elevated areas) could make it the perfect battle arena for the game. Cars would drive by on the flat surface, you'd have to jump over them while in battle and then occasionally those blue droid enemies drop down on the stage, shoot missiles at you as well as those purply yellow flying things that destory large chunks of the road that are permanetly gone until so much is damaged, recovery is impossible so portions appear back again, and also those huge blue helicopters shoot at you and you have to avoid the bullets to avoid taking damage similar to the Corneria stage. In terms of music the stage would feature a reworked version of the music from that 1st stage. Below, I've provided screen grabs showing the aspects of the level I referred to that could possibly be incorporated into the actual stage in Brawl: One of the two has become a reality, if Megaman were to be in, i'd be fully content with the character list, except making Little Mac an assist, i'm disappointed by that as I do not understand the logic behind not having Nintendos greatest fighter as a playable character, a themed boxing ring stage like the NES game would've been ace, but nothing major I suppose considering it leaves the door open for a sequel on Wiis successor. I'll be even more annoyed if they do not incorporate Poltergust 3000 into Luigis moveset and have a Luigis Mansion stage with a reworking of that repetitive song played throughout the whole game, or if there really is no Ness...

Interesting stage today, although it looks like a variation of Sky World, all background, barely any actual stage, although being large in size...

Lucas looks too much like Ness at this stage. The snake move is basically just a substitute for Ness's yo-yo, where hes looking up, variation of PK Flash... I don't like Ness's chance of being retained in Brawl, I really think hes gonna get the cut... Maybe like Dark Link, Ness will be an alternative skin to Lucas, seeing that they're so similar in appearance and moveset...

Little Macs an assist! & many people (editorial gamers) are complaining about the controls! The Gamecube controller options still in isn't it and customisation ability? If so then no worries with controls... Also I don't like the sound of Meta Knight being so unbalanced compared to other characters in terms of excessive power...

Cool, that leaves them with a good chance of being in still...

I reckon these characters will fill the remainder of the roster: Ganondorf, Luigi, Marth, 2nd New Pokemon Character **NEW** Generic ACrossing character **NEW** (was confirmed in an interview somewhere I think along with Zelda retaining her Sheik transformation move), Ness, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Krystal **NEW**, Captain Olimar **NEW**, King DeDeDe **NEW** Little Mac (now he wasn't included in the survey which fingers crossed means that Sakurai already decided to put him in the game!), **NEW**, King K Rool **NEW**, Ridley **NEW** Megaman **NEW** and Mr Game & Watch. Theres a good chance I reckon though that Ridley, King K Rool and King Dedede instead of being playable will unfortunately only solely feature as bosses in the subspace adventure mode...

No Pokemon Trainer, Snake, Wario, Lucas and Zero Suit Samus (perhaps selectable skin) for Newcomers. and no Kirby, Zelda and Ice Climbers for Veterans in that demo character select screen shown, unless there is a more up to date build at E for All...

Perhaps a deal was struck with Sega to seal Sonic, delay to minimise impact on Olympics game and it's also in the best interests of Nintendo, to ease drought in 2008, so a delay, while it'll annoy some US gamers looking forward to Brawl for Christmas, the benefits are greater with the delay. More opportunity for greater quality in final game, more opportunity for sales of Brawl and Mario & Sonic (Segas game) and other third party efforts such as Zack & Wiki.
-
The game should include an attachment that resembles the thrust of a motorcycle, backward flicking with upward flick of wrist, along with rotation, would feel more natural for the bike(s).

I'd be surprised if this game weren't delayed in the US... I guess it also makes business sense. Galaxy and BWii 2 within the same time period, add to that other releases I haven't mentioned, it'd be overkill. Allow the other games to sell in sufficient quantities, especially efforts like Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games. A few months delay of Brawl will ensure that everyone thats going to buy that game will, as it will not be overshadowed at the peak trading time with Brawl...

Namco: Pacman? No. What decent moveset is possible other than gobbling of pellets? Capcom: Viewitiful Joe? No, as both characters below > than Viewtiful Joe (popularity wise), has potentially good moveset though. Ryu? No, too human like, will not be a good fit in the playable roster, even Snake has that game character quality about him... Megaman? Good chance, Lots of Nintendo appearances, including 6 on NES ALONE! One of the strongest contenders and would be an incredible battle with Samus. Has enough Firepower to have a rather unique moveset. Konami: Simon Belmont? No, already Snake from Konami Goemon? No, as per above. Ubisoft: Rayman? Possibly, but not enough uniqueness in attack. Really has nothing beyond glove expansions (i.e glitter blue glove punch, gold glove punch etc) would have an awesome recovery move though, helicopter hair... Square-Enix: Geno? Possibility, although only ever appearing in one game, demand for him was very high in Sakurais poll... Maybe an assist perhaps at the very least... Hudson Soft: Bomberman? No, not enough variety in moveset. Bonk/Super BC Kid? No, same as per Bomberman, although again like Rayman would have an interesting recovery move... Rare: Battletoads? Ice Climbers wouldn't know what him em...

Unprecedented complaints will follow with the release of this image...

Well Sakurai stated 1 to 2 more at the most (excluding Snake), so if there are to be anymore, as there may not be anymore, it will be one character only. As I mentioned on the previous page, I think the battle will be between Megaman and Geno. Its whichever company wants their character in the game more...

It might have to be Mario Racer eventually... Gran Turismo like realism with licenced cars and the characters sticking their heads out of sunroof. Full on dashboard views with arms of the character you select being shown...

I am also on the Megaman bandwagon, although Geno is gonna be a strong contender. I reckon its out of these two for the last remaining third party character, if there is one... Monster Hunter 3, increased Capcom support gives rise to a greater possibility of Megaman. Greater support from SE with FF:CC Wii ware and other efforts gives rise to a greater possibility of Geno as well. Purely on statistics, Geno will take it out, as he was one of the most requested third party characters, other than Sonic who was numero uno and got in as a result, but at the end of the day, its whatever company shows greatest interest and can strike a suitable royalty deal with Nintendo that benefits both parties involved...

A good attempt at photoshopping...

I'm rather pleased Bikes are in Mario Kart. It could provide a whole new dimension for strategy in terms of taking tight turns, and reaching shortcuts/areas inaccessible to Karts... I liked the ultra laggy slow bike/scooter extra mini game in Mario Party 8, so I know i'm just gonna lap this up...

While this is a fantastic annoucement and all, has Sonic been unveiled prematurely, will it have a detrimental affect on Segas olympics game? I'm sure theres some big royalties deal with Sega to have sealed him in the roster for Brawl to offset any possible loss in sales as well as fill up Segas pockets...

Now bring on Megaman! ... expects *sound of crickets* Oh, it should also be mentioned, the release date on Nintendo Americas site for Brawl has changed from December 3rd to TBD (to be determined), expect possible delays in NTSC regions (outside of Japan) and possibly us Palonians as well... Maybe E for All will bear us the bad news... But if it translates to higher quality, i'm happy to wait...

Seems like Nintendos ending the year on a bang, after it being relatively quiet... Now if GTA were to be annouced. Oh boy, watch the reaction... DUKE NUKEM FOREVER next?

I'm going to support the Olympics game (i.e. buying it) for Sega making this possible by approving...
