I don't have any Apple devices, so I can't access it anyway

    You don't have to.
You can get free trials up the wazoo for Apple TV (if you're willing to put in the effort) and watch the shows via a browser.

There are...other...ways to watch shows, too, of course.

I'd typically rather wait until it's all over and digest it all in one go.

Severance is one of the best examples of a "water-cooler show".
There's so much to discover during an episode, you can spend the entire week until the next one reading about theories :p

I'm currently waiting for a friend to gimme her impressions of the most recent episode. COME ONE, WATCH IT!

  3. Went to a demonstration against the right-wing bullshit yesterday.
250 people were expected to come. In the end we were more than 3000!

With all the crap that's going on, it was nice to be among people who share my values and who are against fascism. :)

    This happened all throughout Germany!

I really hope it will be reflected in the elections in 3 weeks...

    Stolen from Wikipedia:

    Quote

Severance is an American science fiction psychological thriller television series created by Dan Erickson, and executive produced and primarily directed by Ben Stiller. It stars Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, Dichen Lachman, Michael Chernus, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette. The plot follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott), an employee of the fictional corporation Lumon Industries who agrees to a "severance" program in which his non-work memories are separated from his work memories.

If you've read my posts in that TV thread, you know how much I love this show.
Basically everything about it is my jam. And it consistently gets better and better.

I've watched the first season 6 times now and the currently available 3 episodes of the second season 3 times each.

Speaking of: S2E3 is insane. I don't want to spoil anything, but I did not expect the story beats to be shown this early :o

How do I go about making spoiler tags work?

Needles. Oh dear lord, just the thought of a needle going into skin makes me feel ill.
I dread moments in life when I have to get a shot.

Very happy that I can deal with needles easily. I donate blood plasma every week and that would be a nightmare if I was afraid of needles :p

I'm afraid of heights. It's not crippling but I notice it quite a bit. I was on the Dom Tower of Utrecht a few weeks ago:

    112 metres.
Looking into the distance was fine, but looking down...phew, I got very anxious.

Also don't like tight spaces. Not sure if it's a phobia but even the thought being in one makes my heart race.

Same thing might happen today, too.

    It didn't.
    Our parliament voted against.
    Thank goodness.

Still...the "centre" parties (in my opinion they are now right-wing) fucked up big time and I really hope the people notice and let their voice be known at the elections in three weeks.

  7. Our parliament (Bundestag) will vote on a draft law which would limit immigration today.

Two days ago a proposal for stricter immigration rules/laws has been accepted thanks to votes from the far-right extremist party AfD, which have been requested by the so called "centre party" (CDU/CSU).
Same thing might happen today, too.

Why do I have to live in these times?

    Fuck those fascists.

I have now acquired tickets to Nine Inch Nails in August. So that’ll be a time

Ohhhh, I did not know that they'll go on tour.

Just ordered two tickets for me and my sister to see them in Cologne in June :D
Worst seats in the venue (which from my experience are still nice, though) but holy cow the better categories are way too expensive (standing tickets were sold out, of course).

Enjoy drahkon, excited for you and to hear how it was! :D

    It was awesome!

Last year in Cologne, they had some power issues and therefore didn't play a few songs. One of which: Pop the Balloon.
This time there were no issues :D That song is even better live.

So happy they played I Was Just a Kid and Oh No :: He Said What?

Amazing night! Aside from the trip back home...Deutsche Bahn at its best :nono:

  10. Slay the Spire - Downfall Mod

The Slime Boss Ascension 20 complete!

Easier to achieve than with the original characters, but still challenging.

And while the wait for StS2 continues, I decided to keep playing the Downfall Mod and try to get as far as possible with:

  11. This is my thread now! This is a Severance thread now.

Part of me wishes that all episodes of S2 are available now, part of me is fine with each releasing every Friday. The discourse on the internet is pretty cool to follow :D So many theories are being thrown out, it's exciting to see which will prove to be true.
I have my own (which I assume are the most popular/obvious ones), of course.

Tonight I'll watch S2 E2 and I couldn't be more excited. This show could surpass Breaking Bad for me. But I also thought Westworld could do that and we all know that turned out to be a steaming pile of garbage.

I'm also very much looking forward to the Severance podcast. Hearing Ben Stiller, Adam Scott and guests talk about each episode and how it was done/certain scenes came to be is super intriguing. Today's episode will feature the writer/creator of the show (Dan Erickson). :peace:

  12. Started playing Sayonara Wildhearts and...I expected it to play a little differently, i.e. the movement to be more restrictive.

Not sure, if I like it...it also isn't really a rhythm game? At least it doesn't feel like anything I do needs to be done to the music/beat aside from the QTEs, which so far have been pretty rare.
