Courage award for man who threw out old computer cables
assofaman replied to EEVILMURRAY's topic in General Chit Chat
No that would be stupidity. -
Its still alright actually, because when people place a vote for the none option, they are saying none due to the one they are after not being there, and thats where the bit on the end about wasting time on the board comes into play. Its like as if the voters say "DO IT RIGHT, OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL"

I'd say Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid. They both have their pinnacle achievement games [i.E. FF7 & MGS2: Sons Of Liberty which are supurb mind you], but in the context of gaming with their series as a whole, they are horribly overrated.

& You wonder why Nintendo struggles with third party support, mind you their slowly start to correct the issue on Wii. Its "friendly fire" on the part of a large number of complete Nintendo loyalists like Solitanze that have the exact same rationale with their choice in games, Nintendo only, Sony and Microsoft, non existant, not relevant, not worthy of their time and/or money.

POSTED THIS MESSAGE IN THE SPOILER THREAD AS WELL: That is an EXCELLENT score considering this guy gave A Link To The Past 9.1/10 and Ocarina Of Time 9.3/10 and is known as one of the harshest but most loyal ZELDA fans out there, EVIDENCE BELOW: http://www.thehylia.com/alttp_review.shtml http://www.thehylia.com/oot_review.shtml Very good review, didn't have a doubt in my mind this would be the best Zelda game ever made. -

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
assofaman replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm considering abandoning the internet (just any websites that have anything associated with video games) next week when there'll be Zelda Frenzy and leakages of massive spoilers everywhere with the release of editorial game reviews. Anyone else following suit? -
Everyone would like this myself included, all the facilities are in place for this to become a reality except two things need to happen. Wii games need to have "online code" programmed into the game prior to its release and also to be able to GUARANTEED store the online patch, Wii needs to have functionality with external drives in order to store a multitude of online patches in their entirity as they aren't exactly small files, were talking about a few hundred megabytes plus on average and this would consume a hell of a lot of the space of the internal flash memory. Otherwise, you'd be lucky to store one let alone two online patches. Apparently External Storage Devices aren't compatiable with those particular USB outlets or so Nintendo has said, but I wouldn't be surprised if eventually (subject to consumer demand) we see a Nintendo Branded External Wii Hard Drive released as part of their accessory range or simply to make things easier, launch games will never become online enabled and the use of an SD card would be sufficient for perhaps that ONE game that requries an online update as all other future releases would be WIFI enabled by default.

They've been discouraged by what was demonstrated in the video footage but you can be assured come review day, all these people complaining will be glued to their computer screens to see the VERDICTS and upon release will question why they even doubted the game in the first place.

First party Nintendo efforts more likely than any other games released, at least early on in the Wiis life until the familirisation phase of the systems hardware and capabilities from the developers perspective is accomplished. Two Possible Candidates Include [Low On Ideas]: Disaster: Day Of Crisis - Mabye if there are driving elements in the game where you're in a car and you can literally change the radio station even though you're in a life or death situation. Super Smash Bros Brawl - But I guess there wouldn't that much point in the features inclusion though due to the awesome orchestrated music that will feature in the game like its predecessor.

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
assofaman replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
*Applauds Decision* Anyway, I am so looking forward to this game, it will be worth every single dollar I spent on it, $100AUD well spent. The only minor quirk, not getting to play it on November 19th, will have to wait till December 7th to get it down here in Australia, but having a copy of this game in my possession will be a nice way to finish off 2006. -
Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
assofaman replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I have no issues with the rumoured length personally, "QUALITY" over "QUANTITY" anyday and theres no chance in the world this spectacular game won't deliver on the quality front. You determine the AMOUNT of hours accumulated at playing at your desired pace, playing slower will equal more game time, its that simple. This number could've resulted from an attempt to WHIZ through the game and complete the game at a RECORD TIME or even just be complete BS. -

It's not unusual/rare for games to get amazingly high averages early on, the games only got 11 reviews, it still got plenty of opportunity for a reduction in average score before being locked into the rankings list. -

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
assofaman replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Finally got them working... This is just reflective of the fact that everything has been increased in size as BIGGER is perceived as better and in a game such as this, IT IS. Everything from the overworld, the horse, the length of the game, Links Master Sword, the amount of characters to the amount of items. The only thing that hasn't been UPSIZED is the amount of official dungeons [Not including smaller dungeon TYPE places], the amount is about on par with OOT, or so has been said courtesy of gaming news sources. -
