I read Giant Sized X-Men #1 (forming of the 'modern' X-Men) the other day and Xavier actually tells them it's made from unstable molecules etc etc. Don't know if you can see it:

The nerdiest tattoo I have is a 1-UP mushroom.

Back in the olden days was there only one green lantern? I don't know why but I just seem to have this in my head that the green lantern was an alien and the person who wears the ring got to use his power but they had their own name.

Spittin' fire like Dhalsim. If it's not your kind of music then the geek-factor of it should pull you through, sooooo much nerdismmmmm. I love it Streetfighter Riddim

I think so long as you're prepared for your tattoo to hurt then it isn't so bad, when I got my first tattoo I just thought it might hurt other people but I can take pain and it won't hurt me. but I was wrong and it hurt like a bitch lol. Anyone who tells you that it doesn't is lying to your face. As for Miami Ink, yeah some of the tattooists there aren't so great, Chris Garver is the best one there, I work in a tattoo studio and I have seen so many messed up tattoos and you wouldn't believe how many people can't see the difference between a good tattoo and a crap tattoo, it baffles me! Oh yeah and Circles are one of the most difficult things to tattoo on the skin so nice choice of tattoo there :P

X-Men felt simpler to me when I got told that X-Men, New X-Men and X-Men Legacy were all the same book. Also the Rogue/Magneto thing has been going on for time because in AoA they are together.

The first 'american style' comics I bought for myself I got from the Islands of Adventure part of Universal Studios, I remember looking for ages cause I couldn't understand why there were so many different Spider-Man ones, I think I ended up with Spectacular Spider-Man and some Wolverine one and a few others, I bet I could find them somewhere. When I was a kid (pre-teens) I used to read the Asterix graphic novels, man they were amazing, they had nearly all of them in my local library, I would love to own them myself. Anyone remember them?

I used to collect Dinosaurs when I was younger before Jurassic Park came out and everyone started doing it, then I stopped lol. I also used to collect keyrings. I started collecting rubber ducks and a few people twigged onto it so since a few years ago every gift I get seems to be duck related, lol.

Seems good, but not exactly earth-shattering. I thought I would have a look at what I have ordered and am still waiting for in the post, and it's kinda bad, I think im gonna have to hold off buying any others for at least a week or 2. Here is the list. X-Men: Messiah Complex X-Force/Cable: Messiah War X-Men: Manifest Destiny Sinestro Corps War Book 1 & 2 World War Hulk Spider-Man: Death and Dating, Election Day, American Son and 24/7 (catching up slowly from Brand New Day onwards) They are all hardcovers ^ And then paperbacks I have Sword Vol.1 & 2 and Haunt Vol.1 Oh yeah and Essential X-Men Vol.1

I watched this tonight, I have avoided spoilers like the plague and from the first time you see him in the multi layered dream I just thought that the whole thing was a dream of his, I watched the whole film looking for evidence to support what I thought but it is all subjective and open to interpret how you want, thats pretty much how they want it to be I guess, but here are a few things that I thought suggested the whole thing was a dream. In the film they said about dreaming that when they stayed so far in that real life seemed like the dream - when he talks to his kids on the phone it looks like a dream sequence, Also the grandma person who doesn't want to talk to him (why?) and why is she not there at the end? The grandad character says things like "when are you going to come back to reality?", "when are you going to wake up?". Another point that they made was about how you don't remember the start of dreams; you're just there, now I know that is just part of filmmaking but I thought it was very prominent in this film if you were reading between the lines as I was. The jump from the very high balcony, they made a point of showing how far he fell and he was unscathed, maybe another hint. Also a lot of revelations just came out of nowhere (also I know, could happen in any film) but it just fit in with the explanation of how you think and see things at the same time in dreams. I know that the film was made to be ambiguous like this, and there is no way at all to know (if only the spinning top would have stopped spinning we would have known for sure) but the way I watched the film didn't take anything away from it and I still found it enjoyable. But if you ask me then the conclusion I am happy with is that the whole film was a Layer 1 dream that Leo's character (i'm crap with names) had trapped himself in because his life was shit and he had killed his wife.

They could just go over the origin briefly like they did in the newer Hulk film and then take it wherever they wanna go after that, It would be quite tedious to sit through the origin story again.

I got really lucky with it, I was searching for full runs of comics on ebay and just searched "complete" and that came up, but the guy had spelled it as Apocolypse, so I kept an eye on it and nobody bid, so yeah, 15 for the books and 2.75 for the postage hehe. I had been advised to start with volume 2 because volume 1 is a lot of prequels, but as a whole the way to book is, it's really good, all in chronological order with nothing missed out (as far as I would know).
