  1. It's kind of a platfomer in that you can jump like normal.

I really like Hotel Mario, its got a really clever concept and the level design is great.

The cutscenes are pretty painful but memorable :heh:

"Mario: You know what they say, all toasters toast toast!"

One of my favourite places was the hardbrick hotel.

And of course the place with the Elvis goombas

  2. I was wondering if anyone else here has a Phillips CD-I?

When I was young my dad had one and got tons of games cheap for it as some part of a deal or something, so I played quite a fair bit.

The console has been mainly well know for the failure it was and the critcism it gets, especially the Zelda games for it. Well although I agree they are bad compared to the proper Zelda games, I didn't find them so shitty that they are totally unplayable. They were just... odd is the word(heck practically every game on the console is ODD). And certain parts (especially cut scenes) were painful. If anyone has any questions please fire away.

Here's a list of all the games I think we have

    The 7th Guest

    The Apprentice

    Battleship

    Burn: Cycle

    Caesar's World of Boxing

    Caesar's World of Gambling

    Chaos Control

    Defender of the Crown

    Flashback: The quest for identity

    Hotel Mario

    International Tennis Open

    Lemmings

    Link: The Faces of Evil

    Lost Eden

    Micro Machines

    Myst

    Pinball

    Space Ace

    Tetris

    Zelda's Adventure

    Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon

Google has agreed to acquire YouTube for $1.65 billion in a stock-for-stock transaction. YouTube will operate independently to preserve its brand and community.

Google announced today that it has agreed to acquire YouTube, the consumer media company for people to watch and share original videos through a Web experience, for $1.65 billion in a stock-for-stock transaction.

"The YouTube team has built an exciting and powerful media platform that complements Google's mission to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful,†said Eric Schmidt, Chief Executive Officer of Google. “Our companies share similar values; we both always put our users first and are committed to innovating to improve their experience. Together, we are natural partners to offer a compelling media entertainment service to users, content owners and advertisers.â€

“Our community has played a vital role in changing the way that people consume media, creating a new clip culture. By joining forces with Google, we can benefit from its global reach and technology leadership to deliver a more comprehensive entertainment experience for our users and to create new opportunities for our partners,†said Chad Hurley, CEO and Co-Founder of YouTube. “I’m confident that with this partnership we’ll have the flexibility and resources needed to pursue our goal of building the next-generation platform for serving media worldwide.â€

  4. Hey.. never really played a proper RPG before and I have the opportunity to get Skies of Arcadia for £19.99, a chance I may never get again.. I've always been put off games of this nature because of turn-based fighting and random battles as they do not really appeal to me, but maybe I just haven't given that a chance..

    ..any advice please?

I'd never really played a proper RPG before Skies of Arcadia and now I love them(+ it remains my favourite). Go for it!

  5. Enya - Braveheart Theme

Yaida Hitomi - Over The Distance

    TQ - Westside

    Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere

    Lighthouse Family - High

Robbie Williams - Angels (Hmm I dunno if i'd call it depressing, just generally emotional)

Despite being depressing, they all can make me feel really good at times though. Some of them aren't really depressing songs I guess, it's just certain memories they bring back can make me feel down.

    Game music wise:

    Shenmue - Wish

Shenmue - Memories of Distant Days

    Shenmue - Tears of Seperation

    Shenmue II - Morning Fog's Wave(orchestra)

Ocarina of Time - Lon Lon Ranch

Ocarina of Time - Title Theme

Tales of Symphonia - Dry Trail

  6. Why do none of the xclusive games on the wii have 'only on' writtion on the box art. Like on excitetruck and red steel box art they don't have on that symbol.

Not only do I prefer it not being there, but also you have to bare in mind that any game on the Wii isn't going to be on other consoles, in terms of exactly. Yes there'll be games like Need for Speed on all three, so it isn't an exclusive, but as it will play (and look) differently on Wii, it makes sense that nothing should need an 'only for' logo.
