  1. NOE:

Accompanying the console launch will be around 20 software titles including Wii Play and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and from third party publishers launch games include: Ubisoft’s RED STEEL, EA’s Need for Speed: Carbon, Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam, THQ’s Disney/ Pixar’s Cars and Sega’s Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz.

Why they couldn't just give us a list I don't know

  2. Another SOLID result for Portsmouth. Wow! Most will agree with me that it's a great thing to see, and good luck to them. Oh and Campbell and Taylor are in one of my fantasy football teams :awesome:

5 goals in first 5 games for Andy Johnson, what a buy he's turning out to be for Everton, like I predicted. I was debating with fellow Arsenal fans about how we'd benefit so much from a poacher, and that Johnson for £7m would of been one hell of a buy, but they were too ignorant. I personally think he would of fit in really well into the side, he's got electric pace.

Can't fricking wait till tommorow afternoon

  3. I'd love it if we could use the Stars we still have on our Nintendo accounts as Wii points. I've got nearly 7000 of them, it would be pretty cool if I use them to buy some VC games.

Agreed, it's things like this that'd make it so exciting. Also, imagining there were 360 like achievements you could earn which could be used as 'Wii points'?

Earthbound Zero, Earthbound, Earthbound 2, Metroid 2 (color) are coming to the Virtual Console.

There will be new Virtual Console remakes of certain NES and Game Boy games by first and third party developers. Expect to pay a bit more upon release. Online Wi-Fi for Virtual Console games is still a mystery.

Pokemon Battle Revolution for Wii and Pokemon for Nintendo DS will arrive in North America sometime in March/April.

Arcade and Amiga 500 games will join the Virtual Console fold very soon.

Nintendo is contemplating releasing a Wii version of Tetris, Dr. Mario, and Mahjong exclusively through the Virtual Console. These are not ports of Famicom versions but new versions updated beyond their Nintendo DS counterparts.

Nintendo Wii owners will get to buy Virtual Console games, game soundtracks, wall papers, and other physical items (real life posters and toys for example) with Wii Points. Wii Points can be purchased, earned through buying games, donated from friends, and won through Wi-Fi raffles.

  5. This is from a video interview about it:

Apparently that character looks like an older 'Chloe Valens'

Who is this? someone from a Tales game I take it?

EDIT: Oh she's from Tales of Legendia!

    Don't see the similarities myself.

  6. I'm a sucker for these kind of threads, and so inspired by Owen in the ExciteTruck thread I decided to make one.

What are your, erm, top 5 most anticipated games on Wii?

    1. Zelda: Twilight Princess

    2. Super Mario Galaxy

    3. Super Smash Brothers Brawl

    4. Camelot RPG [whenever if finally happens!]

    5. Red Steel

  7. I've never been all that bothered about story telling in games as it's done so much better in books, film and TV. That's not the fault of the game makers (though many don't really care), it's just down to the fact that the player has an influence on the outcome, so any story that's told is just the result of the player running down a pre-determined path.

I would of agreed with you until I played Shenmue. The way the story unfolds is remarkable in my opinion, and is why all Shenmue fans would much rather the Saga is finished in games rather than a film, that had been possible.

  8. Not being a fanboy here or anything but I would take Mario Kart and F-zero over Gran Turismo anyday.

The GT series is far too realistic and boring IMO where as Mario Kart is far easier to get into and just have a laugh with, just like most Nintendo games. Im sure if they wanted to they could pull off a "serious" racer but I would rather them stick to what the do best.

Well said. I personally hate realistic racers

  9. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. Shenmue. 10. I dont act my age at all, just ask Hellfire, Takeo, Caris and many of the others that were in the Wii convo on MSN this morning. Im the youngest 24 year old in the world.

That's a good thing :) Once young people who try and act too old for their age get older, they all seem to regret it.
