Biltong!!11! FTW Beef, Ostrich, Kudu, Springbok... Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. It' a dried, salted, spiced strips of meat from South Africa. It's almost like American beef jerkey but a lot less processed and a lot nicer.

Yeah, I've heard the music but havn't seen the show either. "The Internet is for Porn" FTW! What a song . (check out this AMV - )

Legacy - The Gone Jackals (as everyone walks in and sits down) Don't Stop Believin' - Journey (introduction "We are gathered here today" etc.) The Final Countdown - Europe (eulogys) Ace of Spades - Motörhead (Loads of rock chicks laud it about my coffin) Always Look on the Bright Side of Life - Monty Python (coffin lowered) Then everyone has a jump on the complementary bouncy castle and goes home.

Hey all, I'm thinking about getting a magazine subscription for X-mas. I used to subscribe to NOM UK years ago but cancelled it. I'm not sure which one to go for: ONM, NGamer... those are the only ones I know about . Anyway, I don't really want a multiplatform mag like Edge; I never read it all. So which ones do you read? Any suggestions?

After a lengthy download I got it up and running and I love it. Seems very impressive to me and I havn't come across any bugs so far. Love the idea of Titans and the rewards for teamplay. Dice have put a lot more effort into realism in this game (despite the fact its in the future) with your character's sight bopping up and down as you walk and the difficulty during firefights. Anyone played it yet? Any comments?

Alright, I need some serious help. Recently, my computer has begun to either freeze or go to the Blue Screen of Death. When I restart the computer one of two things will happen. Either the computer will boot up normally and then go to the Grub Multi-Boot screen (multiple hard-drives: Windows XP, Suse Linux 9.1) OR the computer will do all of the pre-load checks and then the screen will remain black with only "Grub" being displayed. Once this comes up, the only thing that I can do is press ctrl-alt-del to restart the computer and hope that it works normally. So far, it seems completely random whether my computer will load properly or if it will go to this screen. While my computer was running, I was able to run a Spybot-S&D Scan and schedule an Avast! Antivirus Bootscan which retrospectively found three adaware files and 1 virus. They have been deleted. I also was able to use Crapcleaner to clean the computer and perform a couple of registry fixes as well as using another seperate registry cleaner. One more thing to mention, twice, while running an Adaware scan, the computer has bolloxed up - Once to the BSOD and once freezing. However, before it froze on the second attempt, it did find one problem with a registry key. Just thought that might be the problem... (Two recent installations - Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion AND PowerISO. I thought that PowerISO might have done something to the boot by creating a Virtual Drive [bit of a blank area for me so sorry if thats bull] so I uninstalled it but to no avail). So, can anyone give me some help before I'm forced to spend money to get it fixed? Thanks guys.

No there are no beeps and the fan seems to be permanently working now. However, still nothing else is happening. Also, the cables all seem to be fine.

Hey all. This morning before school, I tried to turn on my computer and heard the quiet buzzing of the power supply but nothing came up on screen (yes it was on). I checked all the cables and everything seemed all right. I opened up my computer and it appears that when my computer turns on (as soon as it recieves power due to a changed BIOS setting), the CPU fan begins to spin but after about 2 seconds it stops. Can anyone give me some advice before I take it to a professional?

Another Charlie and the Chocolate Factory related incident: Putting chewing gum behind my ear to save it for later. Not a good idea. It got stuck in my hair and it took a lot of hair pulling to get it all out...

Beautiful. My hat's of to you! Wish I could make that sort of website. :awesome:

Nucleus replied to dabookerman's topic in General Chit Chat
Necrotizing fasciitis caused by the streptococcus bacteria is a nasty flesh eating disease. Not as a bad as Ebola but it's one for the list. -
And if you can't get anything to work, you can download The Ultimate Showdown here: http://www.nata2.info/?path=humor%2Fflash Just rightclick on it and save as.

SCUMM will not allow Mac games to be played on a PC. It's only for old PC versions of Lucasart's games.

Hey all. I just dug out a load of my classic Mac games. Unfortunately I don't have my IMac anymore. Any ideas of a Mac emulator that can play games such as Indiana Jones: FOA, Maniac Mansion 2: DOTT etc. from CD in my PC, or is that just a pipedream?

Not at the moment. I've been trying to figure this problem out on my own for too long to give up. Hopefully I can get it up and working with everyones help. If I cannot do anything about it I will change. Just not right now.

Yep . My router isn't there
-
Thanks guys. I've so far worked out the software firewall problem. Now i'm onto the slightly more complicated router. I've gotten in and i'm on the virtual server section for port forwarding. As instructed, i've put the port used by Azereus into Public Port - Start and Public Port - End. Thing is, there is another port box to fill in: Private Port. Should I just put the same port in? Also, at the end it says to put in the Host IP Address. Should I just put in my computer's internal ip here? Also, does anyone know if my router: AR-7024Wg-A supports MAC address binding and/or UpNp. Can't seem to find that info, which probably means it doesn't support either . Just incase...

Thanks for your help so far guys. In Kerio, there is no Packet Filter link, button or tab as far as I can see. I have an unlicensed version, maybe I can only access the Packet Filter with a full version. Yes I do have a router: Edimax AR-7024Wg-A Problem is, I cannot access the router settings. The username and password is not the default setting and no one in the family actually knows the bloody info. Going to contact the guys who set it up for us tommorow.
