  1. Ironically, I'd love a new Galaxy game. What a difference an imaginitive theme can make to a game, eh?
  2. Honestly, TC? YES. Most Nintendo games feel like side games and not the "big, imaginitive, once a console" game like they used to. They still have that Nintendo polish, magic, playability...they just don't feel like main entries anymore. I know most will be confused as to what I mean. One of the things grating me is the copy 'n' past NEW Super Mario Bros. theme they have going, where they deliberately limit the cast of a Mario game to just the standard set, reused music, reused level themes etc. In the past there'd be a whole new theme, giant game etc. Who doubts we'll get ANOTHER "NEW" and another "3D" before we get the next new main Mario game with different theme? Anybody...? The games aren't bad (except NSMB2. I don't know what it was about that game, but god did it bore/irritate me) but the theme was boring and sterile to begin with.
  3. Finished main game yesterday. Those last two worlds are excellent. Had some multi today, ran into some piece of crap that jerked us around a bit, but was tolerable, that then deliberately quit straight after we beat the boss and were going for items. h-k was his/her name. What piece of shit does that...? Clearly deliberate "oh I can't spare another five seconds" delberately bringing up smirking face emos to show he's enjoying being an asshole. The problem with this is you can't blacklist them from this since they're gone. I really hope that direct announces the update/DLC for this game. DLC will likely be a new world or four, perhaps two lots of four? I see the free update adding challenges, a dark world (hard) version of each level, and a challenge for each level involving purple link somehow. Time trial onsingle is so hard. I guest guess it may be easier with the cheetah suit. That's another thing that can make time trials harder on single other than having to move each piece separate; the fact you can only have one Link with a powered suit. They didn't think that through...
  4. Heheh. Joking aside though, it's hugely likely we will get another DK before Wii U's end.
  5. Apparently they need to be ditched because they remind people of the Wii/Wii U and failure. I'm fine with them...just as long as they recieve a massive update in customization.
  6. I think we all KNOW what that unannounced Wii U title for this year is. They need to just come out and say it.
  7. Yes. But some people around here will be pissed they haven't ditched Miis.
  8. I think the two consoles, same OS is meant to appease third parties. They get to easily port to two consoles and not just one. Western devs all know how massively selling Nintendo's handhelds are (even if they shun them).
  9. Hmm...interesting update. It's getting there. Just have to pump my will to play back up.
  10. Actually had great gaming session monday. Found some sane players Hat Kid/Fuchs (and a few others) and pretty much played for hours acing challanges. Just wish there was a way to friend people on the spot. Considering there's a way to blacklist on the spot...a big oversight. Unless I'm missing something... I mean, on friending here...I have a dozen or more from XY and basically I only ever see one person online, out of only a few actually friended back...so it's not like people aren't added on my end. I'll add more, see what happens. Though I'm guessing most here are waaay past me...at the dunes, challenges randomly done. I think one world's challenges are hundred percent. EDIT: Actually probably best not to. I've just read the post about how restrictive it is (having to be actually in a lobby when searching). I'm guessing specific meetups...likely pre/post work hours...but that's when my online is the worst, so I'd only end up nuking the games. We all got enough problems with the game without my internet taking down all of N-Europe's crew. Thanks though. You know what the dumbness is? Multi of the first level/no challenge is still not done. Admttedly, haven't been that way in ages...but who's even going to want to do THAT? LOL (On THAT...is there a prize for doing everything on both single AND multi? It does make a note to register them separately.)
  11. Gave Sunday another try but things were going exactly the same as Saturday...so straight to single player. Actually got somewhere. I've seen people say it's bad (troll-wise) because the kids are off. The good games I did have were in school hours, to be honest... I don't want to generalise, but most of the trouble I've had from online games (other than online) is usually gaming bratz (in the past on LIVE screaming obscenities/trolling). Will stick to school hours to limit younger players who are off their meds. Enjoying those ice levels, the Mario fireballs are a nice touch.
  12. Enjoyed the first days multi very much. It was great. The second day though...has been an absolute torturous fucking nightmare. Three people on my ban list for being bastards, trolling and deliberately killing tossing us around etc., one guy just left but didn't turn off so he was just stuck there until we quit (and we actually pissed around for a while beating him up and just generally messing around with his doll...this was NOT a toilet break). Had god knows how many people leave during a level, a zillion more leave as soon as we get three players, lag on nearly EVERY game exept a few, some so bad the connection dropped almost completely freezing things to a halt. Then factor in those who are just clueless...and getting stuck outvoted doing the same level over and over and OVER... Oh, and the amount of people "sorry got to go" when the levels they pick aren't selected is *cough* surprisingly high. I think I've been totally put off. An entire day, hours upon hours essentially wasted. The single player is so slow and repetitive so it's not really an alternative (it's almost painful). I've spent enough time to complete the game and aren't even past the third world thanks to the hell games. Sorry for the rant.
  13. I think something else on medium that I heard about but no idea if true; devs have stopped compressing game data properly since they have no need to on blurays, and that proper compression techniques would fit games on high capacity SD cards. So essentially the "that's too much data for cards" may not be relevant since the data size we're seeing for bluray games may be exagerated due to lack of good compression techniques. I'm sure somone else knows more about this and whether it is true.
  14. It's truly excellent, dude. (Hope mine and my bro's copies come today!) I'll likely be playing single, but don't take that as online is bad, online is excellent from what I played (I have online issues). The game, from the three levels I played was…very easy, to be honest. The challenge came from dodgy combat and playing with noobs who don't know the basic Zelda puzzle sets. Then again, they probably just chose easy levels for the demo. I "think" there's 32 levels (each comprised of multiple levels and a boss), so that's a lot. Wouldn't surprise me if there's a post-game levels flip, with levels refitted harder dark world/Lorule style (just a hope/guess). There's also a town with stuff to do (there's in game collectibles). Oh gaaaawd…now I'M hyped from chatting about this… Players. You can play single, or local 3 players or online 3 players. I ASSUME if you have family/friends in the house with copies you can register their friend codes and look for them online, so if you only have two players in the house you can essentially fill that third spot with an online person by routing your local player through online. It's what me and my bro may do if there's no "two local players go online looking for a third player together" option.
  15. NOTE: Sorry if this quote is a page so back, I had something typed out before then N-Europe blew up. The problem with these prices is; they're mass consumer prices. They'd actually be cheaper to Nintendo since no store has to take a cut. Then by the time Nintendo actuality needs them they'd be cheaper. Then they'd be cheaper because they're buying in mass bulk. Then cheaper because Nintendo probably strikes some sort of deal. Then AFTER this they'd go down because they'd be being more mass-produced and so on (think of the magic the consoles going bluray did for blurays in general). Then consider Nintendo doesn't have to fork out for bluray drives/sets, expensive fans, bluray licenses, and future replacement consoles due to the inner working being so fragile a good portion always break down (how much of MS's profit has been lost to THIS very problem?) There was something else about this I wanted to say but I brain farted. An issue I can see is those who wish Nintendo ill will spread info that Nintendo is going backwards or kiddy for using cards, and I can see Sony unwilling to let go of their medium advantage (will they come out with their own unique medium again next gen? Or just go digital with MS? Will next gen see a completely fractured medium base? Be weird.)
  16. At this point blurays are becoming inferior. Cost: drive itself, expensive fan, license to use bluray...space the gear takes up in console, more bigger plastic shell, console more likely break down/overheat, slow crap loading... Imagine all that extra cost to the console just so Nintendo can use bluray. Is it REALLY worth it...? Considering the pros and massive improvements that are happening with cards?
  17. You realize they can still use the idea without Miis, right? They are unlikely to drop avatars totally. The Wu Hu Island hub is not just some PS Home thing. I doubt me and Nando have the time to post a full list/ideas what it's about. The idea is VERY Nintendo. It can even be left mainly as a game (or even JUST a game, an online focused game), it can essentially be used to test/tweak Nintendo's ideas for online, too. I think you're confused as to what was meant by "hub." Not some sort of hub you need to access to play games/go online or anything, but basically a separate Mii/Avatar world. With "stuff" and interaction, adventures, exploration/ secrets, mini games, special Nintendo alerts/announcements, visiting Nintendo mascots, decorative homebases, Miis and interaction with the other online Mii/Avatar community. Basically Tomodachi meets Animal Crossing meets Nintendo Land meets Miiverse meets open-world adventure game meets massve online interaction/coop/versus. You could use transports like bikes, copters, boats etc. from Wuhu to get around, with medal system you get for various milestones like finding landmarks, treasure etc. Play various games with others online around the island (or just explore alone, though ultimately it's about interaction with others). There'd be daily, monthly, yearly and seasonal/holiday events with the island chages such as weather/decoration. You'd have access to some currency (or just win stuff). You'd have your own avatar/mii homebase you'd decorate, change clothes and keep pets. Go on competitive treasure hunts, race challenges etc. All with being the ultimate Mii hub for our and others to interact with in mind (or whatever new avatar they go with). I've explained it better before in other posts. EDIT: Sorry didn't notice your post, Nando!
  18. Agree with pretty much the whole video except "bluray movie player." Totally pointless expence with bluray licensing, space etc. It's a needless expence and truly hope they don't cave on it. They don't just need to add other consoles features, they need their own unique. They can start with the Wu Hu Nintendo Island online hub (with updated Miis) I've been pushing everywhere I post. Something neither Sony/Microsoft has done yet.
  19. Iwata pretty much hinted/confirmed what it was in an interview. NX is a home unit and a handheld with cross architecture (Nintendo Cross, essentially) for quick ported games. It's even been stated the feature it has will appeal to third parties (presumably quick port between TWO Nintendo consoles). To top it off, haven't the Nintendo handheld and home console dev teams fused together? (Just a rumour?) The hints are there for all to see if you pick apart all the articles. Sure it's all hints and it could all be BS...but let's face it, it's highly likely. The only thing we don't know is just HOW powerful and whether they'll release together. It's also possible both will use high capacity cards (obviously the handheld will), saving space/architecture/money by not having disc drives and expensive cooling fans. The handheld will obviously be more powerful than 3DS and most definitely at least Vita resolution, and the home unit most certainly more powerful than Wii U, likely at least XO power. Components are cheaper, they can catch up to XO/PS4 power for cheaper now. If they go no disc drive/expensive fan route, smaller design, it can afford to be more powerful due to saved money. Then it all depends on BC. BC for home games (Wii U/Wii) may be the thing that messes the home unit's power/price up. Of course this is all just theories and hopes...and could be all BS. The potential IS there for Nintendo to hit the jackpot and cover all bases...but we all know what happened with the Wii U.
  20. Very much enjoyed the online play when we finally got started (had two or three people quit before leaving starting room). Played all three levels, failed at Fire Temple boss but after doing bomb level went back and started it again...until Sky did it's "randomly disconnect you for a few seconds so playing ANY online game is ultimately pointless" crap (which it does many times a day. It sounds like nothing...what's a few seconds of disconnect randomly, but try playing co-op or competitve and it just makes it useless). Fucking sick of this shit. Not going back on now, screw it. Solo it is for me now. Took aaaaaaaaaages to get this one guy to throw a bomb in the right place for us to gust it, that first time you have to.
  21. A great Zelda game (though playing it upscaled on an LCD HDTV made it look like utter shit). Updates? Other than HD, of course. TLBW mini dungeon feature to help fill up the overworld with secrets. At least twelve of them. Battle dungeon, like in WW, with you fighting from floor to floor (I cannot remember if there was one or not...) But to get all those sword abilities and not use them much, what a waste... Master Quest difficulty...FROM THE ONSET. That would suffce me, as I'd just be glad to play it with a crisp PQ. I guess some more collect quests wouldn't hurt. There'll probably be more to fishing, they usually like to expand on that. More use for rupees. Possibly buy items in castle market (auction house? Along with new NPCs?) to send back to your treehouse to decorate it. More NPCs just to make things less barren. Nintendo told us the Mask Salesman would be returning soon. I assumed HW or ZU, but what if he's in this with masks to mod abilities?
  22. 100% getting this game, though how fun I find the demo will dictate how quick I buy it. Will likely only play solo on full game, as usually on online games I get stuck with people who already know what to do, or have max weapons...with me stuck behind watching OTHER PEOPLE complete levels while I twiddle my thumbs (nooooot fun). Here's my two spare codes, enjoy: B0HJF7VK2FYWYQ60 B0HJQTQQ2018PJ21 Hopefully I see some of you on the 17th, 18th or 24th.
  23. One of my favourite game series. Will likely buy ASAP. Triforce Heroes this month, too. LBX, though not got yet. Plenty of other games. It's a good last quarter this year. 3DS is truly Nintendo's current star/main console. Wii U can't hold a candle to it.
  24. Yes, they are. Me included. Means I'll have to hit Meadowhall instead of the city centre (complete reversal from me choosing MH over city centre, but the cinema in city centre is better/cheaper and less crowded), find the RIGHT GAME, hope they've actually got it set up, have people glaring at me giving weird looks as if I'm some...I don't know what, and also go at a time when there's essentially no need for me to go other than this. It's essentially therefore £4+ DLC for one sodding Pokemon (return fair). Guess I'm not bothering.
  25. Finally decided to spend my last 800 points (1st of October and still working?) Anyway, I got the 3DS Nintendo Theme so have 300 stars left. Nothing else worth buying. Most annoying thing is, it asks me to synch my NNID. I'm not sure whether it's asked me before, but it offers me 750 stars to do it, so I spend ages trying to do it before finding the support and realising account synching is gone. Though it actually displays my Wii U/3DS buys so why would it NOT be synched...? *Confused as fuck* Couple that missed 750 stars with all the "out of date" and double star points cards unusables, deleted for having too long star points (WTF Nintendo?!), missing Wii U console star points, and NEW 3DS console star points (even though I have MH4U in my registered list twice, my copy AND bro's copy...even though you're supposed to ony be able to register one. I'm guessing since it was the MH4U N3DS pack, it auto-registered the game and let me do the single copy code too (bro's copy) but then were is the N3DS console reg? It's clearly registered as just another MH4U copy...) and annoyed at all the missing "potential" star points. Been with the Nintendo site since the OG DS VIP days or before, I forget when it started/I started. Bit pissed I missed the goodbye coin, though it would have just been another toy/collectible stuck in a drawer/box somewhere in the house. According to the treasure I have 3D World OST. I can't remember if it ever came. It may be "somewhere" in the house, I have a vague memory of it arriving. I do have that stand with all the Mario characters (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser etc.) that comes in a "?" block box. No idea what to do with it, may just sell it.
