in case anyone has yet to see it. here's some leaked footage of act 1. http://www.destructoid.com/leaked-sonic-4-footage-confirms-it-s-a-sonic-game-163943.phtml -
thought this was more than a bit spooky. http://www.destructoid.com/letter-predicts-super-mario-galaxy-16-years-ahead-of-time-163664.phtml

good old democracy eh!!! to make it even more confusing, i think that australia is one of the only countries where you can legally modify your consoles and sell them on.
-
i'm amazed how many sites reported this, without actually taking the time to type "nibris" into google and check if it was true. http://www.nibris.net/

not a wii game, but i don't see many GC twilight princess around. the resident wiivil's probably won't be around too long either chop til you drop. (i've never seen a copy) and (possibly) links crossbow training. there didn't seem to be enough to go around when it was first released.

Goldeneye possibly coming to wii next year...
auntnadia2003 replied to auntnadia2003's topic in Nintendo Gaming
We don't smell that bad do we? forums in general scare the hell out of me. a big pile of moderators waiting in the shadows to give you some kind of warning for not reading the 1000 page rulebook, or being overly aggressive to "noobs" or people who post in the wrong place. yuk. not that i'm saying these forums are like that..... i just don't find forums enticing places to visit!! -
I don't normally check the forums, but this is a very exciting rumour. make of it what you will..... http://www.destructoid.com/craig-peck-reveals-that-goldeneye-is-coming-to-the-wii-153136.phtml

i'm not even sure that they've even got a development team. this could be the worlds longest april fools. if nibris aren't making the game, i wish to god somebody would though.

to drag this all up again, this image was posted at ign, then taken down. source: http://www.destructoid.com/sadness-screenshot-revealed-photograph-of-bigfoot-to-follow-80768.phtml

Right, here they are. In no particualar order. 1 Xiii The best shooter of the last gen consoles for me. If it weren't for some annoying stealth sections, this could have been as good as a certain N64 title we all seem to like. 2 Super Mario Sunshine I don't care what you say. This is an improvement on Mario 64. 3 Resident Evil 4 A truly unnerving experience and one of the best games of all time. 4 Killer 7 Is it art? 5 Zelda TP How much juice does the cube have in it? 6 Zelda WW Not the best Zelda, but even the worse Zelda is better than most games. 7 Metroid Prime Kept true to the classics, whilst creating a whole new experience on the cube. 8 Rogue Squadron 2 thank god this was rushed out for launch, because RS3 was a lesson in how to over indulge. 9 Viewtiful Joe proving that the tried and tested formulas never get old when shown a bit of TLC. 10 Ikaruga really does take a lifetime to master. i'll still be trying to beat this when i'm 70

Found this snippet at Destructoid. It's still to be counted as a rumour, but a likely one at that. http://www.destructoid.com/rumortoid-skate-coming-to-nintendo-ds-and-wii-79510.phtml

i'm criticising the ammount of times you use those words.

most of these can be seen for real on this video from ign.

it's not necessarily bullshit. there are no surprises here.

DVD playback on your regular (chipped) wii
auntnadia2003 replied to auntnadia2003's topic in Nintendo Gaming
maybe. there was another similar case won in russia too. it shows that the law surrounding this isn't just a black and white issue. the movie companies have to take you to court and then prove it illegal. whereas, if you downloaded and copy films, the law states you will be arrested and tried, even without the movie co's complaining. it means that unlicensed players aren't strictly covered by european law and aren't immediately illegal, like a few people have stated already. i'm not sure i heard this. most of the flash cards (G6 et al) do it already though. e.g. you can toggle the brightness, just by touching an icon on the main screen with g6 lite. -

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/2635293.stm i found this court case on the bbc. a court ruled that it was legal for this guy to watch dvds he had payed for, using a program he coded himself (and not paying a license). not a wii, but still a non licensed player. these are the highlights: "Mr Johansen said he created the DeCSS software to let him watch DVDs he purchased on a Linux computer rather than an expensive DVD player. Mr Johansen maintained that he should have the right to watch films he had legally bought on a device of his choosing. Now the Norwegian court has backed Mr Johansen and said there was "no evidence" that what he did was aiding DVD piracy. With no evidence that Mr Johansen was engaged in piracy or that he was aiding others to illegally copy disks the Norwegian court had no choice but to acquit the teenager. The court also ruled that it was not illegal to use DeCSS to watch legally obtained DVD films. " -

i'm still not convinced it is illegal (in the uk), although i can't say it isn't either. anyone have links to "real" information regarding this? and if the Z was a suffix, then it would be dragonballz. i prefer it that way too. -

it's interesting to guage the reponses to this. when it was announced that the wii wouldn't be a dvd player, the whole community was up in arms saying it would be the death of the console. now it can happen, hardly anyone seems to think it's a good idea. and with the license cost. i'm not %100 sure on the legalities, but i always thought that the license was for the plugin (i.e. DivX or mp3), not the film itself. hence your pc is capable of dvd playback, but some players (microsoft, cough) ask you to pay a license fee. anyway, nothing will stop you playing home movies etc. -

but it is necessary for the alphabet to end in ZEEE. drangonballZEEEE makes no sense. you only end up in gauntletanomo if you are from elsewhere that's not america. which is illegal in america. and no. noone at all needsanother dvd player in their house. especially a 2nd rate one, but i read so many threads that the wii needed one, that i thought i'd pass on the news. -
