    My divorce has finally been settled so...I'm in the market for an Xbox Series X to treat myself! (As my mum pointed out, surely you treat yourself for achieving something successful, not for failing at something...thanks mum 🤷‍♂️) 

    And yet...they are still out of bloody stock! Looking at the Klarna/Xbox All Access route, I pay £10.99 a month for Gamepass anyway, so an extra £18 for the console should fit into my budget now I've taken a second job, so if anyone sees them turn up online, let me know!

    Apex Azuros and Ibushi HR4 and HR6...I think is there a Rathian one in HR2or3 that is more a tutorial?

    As Glen said they are better with a group and I think the Ibushi one is better, as are the newer Apex Rathalos and Apex Diablos ones....though I hope they get their own standard hunts in next update.

    Apex Azuros is the only Apex Rampage that is required as it part of the story all other are optional.

    I think I also started to enjoy them a bit better when I learned how to use the installations and Villagers like Elder Fugen a bit more strategically.

    But yeah as said there's only like 2 or 3 that are required, make a plan, meet us online we'll bash through it with ya and then it'll be over :)

    When we've played you've been the only sensible voice when it comes to Fugen; I'd have him front and centre first wave if you'd let me 😂🤦‍♂️

    If no one has seen (because I didn't, randomly saw this mentioned on the world wide web) there's a new event quest up, HR7 Nargacuga gets you...some new stickers 😎😛

    Got myself to HR 40 this morning and took down Teostra... disappointed I didn't seem to unlock and new quests at the highest rank to take on, even with existing monsters 🤷‍♂️

    There's still plenty for me to grind towards in terms of decorations and getting armour sets together, but I usually prefer to do that while moving things forward and taking on harder quests so...I'm not sure what to do, might park this for abit until end of the month when new quests and monsters become available, and pick it up again then. Or I just go back through the lower HR quests and mop up my blue/red ticks there.

    I still can't get over the loading times in this, just exquisite 😍

    Playing at random times at the moment, so managed to get on early this morning to try out some of the new HR quests. Came out of the level cap at...HR8 😂 3 hunts later though and I'm at HR17, so it's levelling up pretty quick, and hopefully I'll unlock the advertised new monsters soon 💪

    Noticed a few glitches but mainly in the quest selection (wrong descriptions, and had the same quest on my list 5 times too) but apart from that all seems like classic stuff to me, without being toooo difficult yet, hopefully there will be a spike the higher up HR I go 🤷‍♂️ or we'll just have to wait for the inevitable G rank DLC to get that true test!

    Anyway, avoiding spoilers, have you found a way to automatically save the game? Or is it just when it prompts you to after a certain cut scene?

    More paid DLC (Boooooo) for Gestures, Layered Armour, Stickers, character voices (Including Fugen's voice)....at least it all just cosmetics so I don't really care :p

    Can I justify spending more money just to sound like my hero, Fugen...🤷‍♂️😂

    I started it on my lunch at work yesterday, enjoyed the snippet that I played but...I couldn't seem to find the option to save, and I had to go back to work, so I lost all the character set up stuff I'd done 🤦‍♂️ I'll presume you have to get to a point to be able to save it, either that or I was just being an idiot 😛

    What about all those arena coins you used to get, didn't they make specific armour sets? 

    Sorry I was late to the party last night, @Mokong, although you might say I timed it perfectly getting my carves at the end of the urgent 😂

    The Rathalos + Magnamalo battle that we did duo was probably the most epic/stressful hunt I've had on Rise, can't believe we pulled it off! Two early faints (from me 😛) completely out of any sort of potions at the end while trying to trap the Magnamalo who didn't want to get in the trap, that was proper hunting 💪

    @Nicktendo thank you for such a thorough response! 

    I actually have a One S at the moment myself, so the leap to a Series S would probably be substantial enough...but I kinda want to go Series X as and when I make that leap 😎🙈

    Agree with the Phil Spencer praise, I'm sure he can be a ball breaker as much as I'm sure Miyamoto is as well behind the lovely Mario and Zelda veneer, but he's turned the Xbox ship around quite a bit; I still think Sony will (possibly are already) win the "console war", but I think MS are creating their own market and way that they bring their experience to consumers...with the caveat of having a seemingly unlimited budget for it all, I don't understand how they are financing Game Pass but, for a consumer, it's great 🤷‍♂️

    Upgraded my power and armour charms this morning; just checked the item combination bit and I had the parts to do so, just need the zenny to rebut the original charms again now 🤷‍♂️

    Magnamalo Lance is fully upgraded now (after defeating the high rank version about 3 times, got to be a record!) Got high rank armour but nothing specific, just the best I can get to get me through. Once I've finished the hr7 quests I'll look properly at decorations etc and get myself a decent set together ready for the cap ceiling to be lifted 😎

    I really want to hold out for the X, but money 🤷‍♂️ so I'd be interested to know how the S hold up!

    I did a Rampage with my bro yesterday, no real clue what was going on save for firing cannons and arrows and dragonators at monsters until we won, although not sure what the criteria was or how we actually won. I've just unlocked the village one too, unless it becomes all of a sudden a revelation I can't see myself actively pursuing the rampage's save for if they have some exclusive/high end rewards that are worth it.

    Got a few achievements I want to try and get done on Sea of Thieves, which with a fair wind might not take me too long, then I can try and get myself to HR7 and village quests done for the end April ready for the update and HR unlocking 😎

    That was good fun last night @S.C.G and @Mokong, sorry I only did 2 fights, old age (plus the best part of 12 hours playing it yesterday 🙈) did me in! 

    Feel like I got myself "into" it yesterday, really enjoyed the hub stuff with my brother and then you guys, feels like Monster Hunter now with the added bonus of that wirebug making fights so kinetic! 

    Still not sure how I feel about it compared with World, I do miss the scope and the monsters feeling absolutely huge, but on the flip side the loading times...OH the loading times 😍 I'm in heaven, it's all just so seamless, so quick, makes the power of the Xbox and PS seem paltry in comparison when whether your solo, local or online the whole thing is just so quick and fluid. Amazing work on that front!

    Just defeated Aksonom (on my lunch break no less) and opened up the 3* quests, will try and crack on with a few more this evening! Haven't even looked at weapons or armour yet, just rocking the standard stuff, I'll keep doing that until I feel I'm completely disadvantaged and really need it.

    I am missing the scope of World at the moment, the environments and monsters all feel very small so far...but it is taking me back to my initial 3U days, so there's a nostalgia kick as well.

    Enjoying it so far, looking forward to getting to the meaty stuff!

    It seems that "bugger" is no longer censored, so I can still shout "Bugger it all!" every time I get hit.

    If you hunt a monster enough. It's page on Hunters Notes will start telling you the chance of it dropping the different materials. It even tells you which materials are easier to get visa capturing.

    No more having to browse Kiranico to figure it out!

    A staple of the series "let me just have a quick Google before the 10th go at this monster to make sure..."

    Made a start this morning, just did the character set up, the opening bits and then the training mission. Seems...like Monster Hunter 🤷‍♂️ looking forward to getting stuck into some village quests over the weekend, giving it a proper go!

    I agree though, it seems abit shady.

    I guess it'll be like World in that G rank will be added on at a later date, and again similar to World rather than have everything there from the get go, it'll keep people interested  when there's "big reveals" every few months, especially if they keep to the free content drops they've stated.
