Teppo Holmqvist Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Can I use the RGB cable from the GCN? Unfortunately, no. The plug is different in Wii.
Nintenchris Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 http://www.play.com/Games/Wii/4-/3256661/Official_Nintendo_RGB_Cable/Product.html £14.99 delivered there... i doubt you will find cheaper
Hellfire Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I wonder if the cable that comes with Wii isn't already the RgB cable?
gj15987 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Why would you wana use the GC one? I never bother reading the hardware/ cables threads...have I missed something? Does it not come with one?
... Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Usually, the cable that comes with a console is the composite one. You know, the yellow, white and red one. And I think Nintendo have already said that the Wii will come with composite, as usual. RGB and component have to be bought separately. In order of picture quality, it goes like this: Composite > S-Video > RGB > Component. So that's why people always want the component one. If your tv doesn't have component plugs (I bought mine in 98 and it doesn't have them), the best you can get is RGB. Besides, here's confirmation it will be a composite cable, you can see it on the table on the pic that has the Wii all set up. http://www.gamespot.com/pages/profile/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-24751789&user=adolfobaja
