Blue_Ninja0 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Nintendo is putting itself in a great position economicaly speaking. They can suck the extra money for the early adopters: hardcore gamers, nintendo fans, and everyone that needs to make sure they buy the console on day 1 (wich is a lot of people), and then BAM, price drop just a few days before PS3 gets it's true launch wich a decent ammount of units. Obviously, as a customer, i'm not pleased. And if we know nintendo well, they won't do it the logic way. Maybe they'll stick with 250€ for a long time.
DCK Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 ^ Very true Blue_Ninja. Suppose Nintendo makes a $50 profit on a Wii, and it goes through its entire launch stock this year. That means a $200 million profit from the console only. It's smart, but it's not great
fukudasolokomalakikenanze Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 The price is good, i'll be buying one on day one of launch.
AshMat Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 And if they dont introduce a price drop, there will be even MORE complaining, how is £80 not a good price? Remember it's not all nintendo, there are taxes. For what you get, and, nintendo do want to make profit on their consoles unlike M$ and Sony
