Blackfox Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Ok, this is totally anal I know but it bugs me a little.. Anyway, as you see.. ..the icons on the music files are all Winamp icons. Is there a way to change them to a different icon - such as the FooBar icon (since Winamp is now overbloated!). Ta.
Calza Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I think you've got the default program to open mp3s is winamp. Right Click, Properties, Opens With : And change it to FooBar
Blackfox Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 Done that.. yet it seems to always re-highlight Winamp. Anyway, I uninstllled Winamp (never use it anymore) and the icons are still there!
Calza Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I just did it straight away between Real Player and WMP, but I remember when i had Winamp changing the icons and they changed back straight away. You could always try deleting the Winamp folder in Program Files if you havn't done so already.
Blackfox Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 I deleted Winamp, and now all the icons are Quciktime icons - but open with Foobar. Strange.
Mr_Odwin Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Open up explorer. Tools>Folder Options>File Types>. Find the relevant file type, select it > advanced > change icon. Foobar's icons all live in its icon subfolder in program files>foobar2000.
Guest Jordan Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Winamp 5 works great, just don't use the stuff you don't need :P But yeah, Odwin's suggestion works.
