I have two simple questions about the Wii.

1. Will the Wii have a VGA Output?

2. Will the Wii have Opera?

If the Wii has these two things, then I will be very happy.

I'm pretty sure that Nintendo did say a few years ago that VGA output was a go ahead for its next console, but since the unveilling of Revolution/Wii at E3 2005, i think VGA output has been scrapped in favour of flailing your arms like a drama student.

Opera, I beleive will be embedded in Wii - so no need for a disk - and will make use of the Wii-mote... somehow.

Anyway my 24" LCD Dell monitor features all kinds of in puts (component, VGA, DVI, s-video and so on =) so I really dont care :D although a VGA output would definitely be very nice :)

It definitely has Opera. I remember Iwata said they wanted it to "look great on whatever you played it on"

I don't think they've ever confirmed if it will have VGA, I hope it will though, I want to use it on my monitor.

The Wii has a 'video out', so that means Nintendo could release cables supporting all sorts of plugs. Scart and S-video are confirmed already anyway.

Opera is embedded on the Wii.

I have my 360 hooked up to my 21" crt monitor and looks really nice. I hope Nintendo releases a VGA cord, but if they don't it won't bug me to much. I am happy that Opera is embedded into the Wii.

Thanks for the info guys.

Yep Opera is enabled out of the box. What's VGA? I think my TV has it, do you need a special cable or is it with the Wii?

if im right VGA is what your pc plugs into on the tower part.

i scowered for a ga to vga for my tv and got one for £10.
