Towers Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 I remember when it first came out there were loads of problems to do with heating issues. And mention of the strings to hold it in the air to stop it from doing so. I just wondered though on the newer versions is this all sorted out or does the 360 still over heat? I'm a bit worried as mine should arrive any day now and having 3 people in my house who will play on it, it will be used a lot. I'm considering buying the cooler for it
The3rdChildren Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 There's an official thread somewhere on here, and I've had mine since shortly after launch (second wave) and it has never combusted during my lengthy play sessions. I just make sure to always turn the power off when I'm not using it, seeing as the power brick is the danger equivalent of a nuclear power plant.
Ashley Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Yeah there is an official thread. Plus from what I hear the problem was mostly from prolonged sessions. So in other words, don't play it for like 6 hours non stop.
