I played the demo, thought it sucked and exited.

 

This is not Serious Sam. Sam is about HUGE open fields and running backwards from enourmas beasts in the middle of Egypt. Not a stupidly hyper futuristic closed enviroment with flying retards.

Looks crappy has HDR lighting. Crashed alot for me. Didnt like it. Uninstalled.

the game is pretty weak, i mean its like they ported the xbox vr to tehe pc, meh my 4 yr old 9800 pro ate the demo, i guess sam is dead after all

I tried the demo, but the framerate was abysmal. My machine's no slouch either: Athlon XP 3000, X800 XT PE and a gig of Corsair RAM. Not very impressed.

My Athlon 64 3800+, 2GB of ram and X800 XTPE just about run it on high setttings. I wasn't too impressed with the frame rates either.

i.e

 

athlon xp 3200+ @ 2.21 ghz

1.5gb PC3200 ram

9800 Pro

 

i got 40 - 55fps on "high" @ 1024 x 768 (depending on the location)

I bumped mine up to 1280 x 1024 (Got a TFT, this is its native resolution) and maxed everything out. Even the FEAR demo got better framerates if I left anti-aliasing off. Still, it is only a demo, so the full version should be smoother.

The autodetect is probably doing you no favours, by high, you should physically turn everything way up yourself - manually. As for you vs Jordan, Jord is running at a much higher resolution.

I suppose i'll pick up a copy of the game when its released, but its not exactly my highest priority now...
