Posted February 22, 2006 Use vlc media player. And doesn't your dvd have a certain amount of times you can change the region? Or you could download anydvd which makes the dvd viewing software to skip the region check. Although using the vlc player might be a better option, as anydvd isn't free... Posted February 22, 2006 You can look up your drive here: http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php and see if you can re-flash your firmware with a region free one. Or try this maybe: http://www.doom9.org Go to the downloads page, full software page and then the region free tools. I've not tried either method though and flashing firmware can go wrong and break your drive forever. Yay!
Posted February 23, 2006 have you changed your dvd region before? if not you are allowed to change it 5 times before it becomes permanent. You can change it in control panel.
