live Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I know its not as popular of a sport in Europe as football(soccer for me), but hey, an actuall world tournament could help boost its popularity. The commercial I saw for it during the Superbowl here really gook me looking forward to it. Check out the website: http://www.worldbaseballclassic.com/2006/index.jsp So, what country is everybody rooting for?

Anyway's, I like this sport but unfortunally Portugal doesn't have a team there, so I'll be rooting for the only European team in the tournament. GO ITALY!! FORZA ITALIA!!

The Netherlands are in it as well. Does anyone know if it's going to be on TV in the UK? I did email C5 about it after the World Series but they said it was too early to say.
elniro Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I just dnt understand baseball. I think its a faster paced variation of cricket, to make it excitin for americans
weeyellowbloke Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 As far as I can tell baseball is pretty similar to rounders, there might be some slight variations in rules though.

I can understand it for the best part, but when they start saying 3 out on the second down or what ever, I get confused. I don't understand how to keep scores in the game.
