DiemetriX Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Whats teh best way of recording things from a game machine and transfering it to the PC? Is there a box or tv card you can buy?
Mr_Odwin Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Most TV cards have a composite or s-video connector, so that's one way to do it. Or you could hook it up to a hardware dvd recorder and then transfer to pc afterwards.
Bogbas Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Or if you have a DV camera which has an analog input you can record the game with it. And transfer the video to your PC via firewire.

Mr_Odwin Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I got the cheapest one I could and its quality is alright. Unless your after amazing quality it doesn't matter that much. I'll upload a sample of my gamecube hooked up to it later today. Edit: Here is the intro to Soul Calibur II (what was in when I turned it on): It's a 20MB download and you'll need either VLC media player or the x264 codec installed to watch it. Obviously the quality was better when I captured it as I have had to compress it loads so that I wasn't uploading all day. http://pike.fireflyinternet.co.uk/h264secondpass.avi Using this card.
Marshmellow Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 you could use the archos AV700 too which then you could take it on the road and watch it again!
