Sméagol Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 (edited) I am so excited about this, I was follwing it for some time, and it's finally coming out. It's a dutch indie horror multiplayer game, coming out 21-08-2015. This teaser doesn't show much, so what's the gameplay? Basically you're playing a combination of 2 children's games, tag, and I don't know the English name for the other one.. redlight? So children's games, but with monsters . Mostly you will play as part of "the flock", some kind of monster in the distant future. You hunt for the carrier, who is carrying an artifact. When you kill him, you become the carrier. However, the artifact the carrier is carrying shines a light that is deadly to the flock, unless they stop moving. So you're either hunting the carrier as the flock, or surviving the flock as the carrier. A recent announcement of the game sounds really interesting thought, and got me personally excited, although not everyone thinks the same way: this multiplayer has a designed finite life. There is a general population. Every time someone dies as the flock, the population decreases. When the population reaches zero, the game won't be available for puchase anymore, and the players who own the game will go into the endgame phase, which is still a surprise at the moment. After that, the game is over in every conceivable way. I think this is a creative solution to a problem that every multiplayer game will have eventually. Fierce_LiNk Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 It actually sounds rather good! I'm interested. Population mechanic sounds crazy.
