Serebii Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 (edited) The guide is on the eShop now for £17.99 Edited November 27, 2013 by Serebii
Dcubed Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 That is sooooooo gonna become a collectors item! Cool to see that they're actually releasing this for sale now. Always wanted to try this out Surprised that they're releasing it in Japan and EU but not the US though... (Americans too uncultured confirmed? )
Serebii Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Apparently it's not in English or French on the eShop. What?
Lens of Truth Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 £17.99 is a bit steep for me. Nice that it's available though. I wonder if there'll be more. I barely even read the blurbs in galleries though - prefer to just soak it all in visually or to discuss with friends, then get all the info afterwards. Still this is great for a virtual visit. Impressed with the high res zoomable shots and 30 hours of commentary
Dcubed Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Apparently it's not in English or French on the eShop. What? I would imagine that the versions offered have country specific localisations (as indicated on the physical version's box art). Makes sense considering how much audio commentary is in there... BTW, the Iwata Asks is out! http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Iwata-Asks/Iwata-Asks-Nintendo-3DS-Guide-Louvre/Nintendo-3DS-Guide-Louvre/1-One-day-the-Louvre/1-One-day-the-Louvre-836504.html Iwata: We really want everyone to be able to experience the Louvre Museum from their own home. And if you ever have the chance to go to the Louvre, bring this software with you. I think it will enrich your experience there. By the way, let me say one thing that would be fun for Miiverse. There’s a single photo of you somewhere in the software, isn’t there, Miyamoto-san? Miyamoto: Yeah, someone put that in without letting me know. I didn’t have it taken out, so it shipped out with it in there. I hope everyone looks for it and finds it. Oh... dammit, they know just how to taunt me...
tapedeck Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 It's about £13 for 1 adult ticket to see everything at the Louvre. Then there is the cost of travel etc. to get there, depending on where you live. Then of course you don't get 30 hours of commentary and close up images of some of the works. Price is what you pay, value is what you get. This is good value in my opinion.
Dcubed Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 £17.99 - Jokers No doubt that a lot of that comes from the Louvre's licensing fees, as well as the 30+ hours of professional audio commentary (in 6 different languages no less!) It might not necessarily have taken much of Nintendo's internal resources to develop, but that doesn't mean that it's a cheap production...
dazzybee Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 I'm sorry, but that's extortionate!! Hardly anyone will buy it at that price. You can't compare with the ticket of going to the louvre, as actually going is a thousand times better than a poor visual quality representations of it.... I genuinely though this was going to be free.
