I'm enjoying Season Two quite a lot. It's still making me feel massively confused about what's going on, but I'm beginning to get some interesting theories. It's nice reading up on what other people think, too.

Those people attached to the trees. Could they be the police officers from Season One?

I finished this last night. I thought it was a great ending. I didn't understand everything but I feel that may be because I haven't seen the first season in so long and that some things are meant to be left unanswered/decided by the viewer.

A great series and glad they didn't drag it on for years.

There's still plenty stuff to cover for a season 3. Although I read somewhere that the French viewing ratings weren't as great as the first season, so there may not be a season 3.

Some stuff gets resolved.. sort of. We learn where the batch of revenants from the first season came from. Things are pretty much resolved between for the Siguret family.. And things are pretty final for other characters, though there's still stuff I'd like to know.

What I'd like to know in general is, what happens to the revenants who stayed? Also, we know what brought the revenants from the first season, but what about the new batch, or the older ones? And what exactly is the deal with Victor?

You could speculate that Victor summoned all the others too, although it's not shown what event caused this. You could also speculate that the fate of the revenants who stayed is the exact same as the revenants from the cave.. But still, I'd like to see more of them.

Some specific minor and major things:

- What happened to Adèle?

- What will happen to Audrey?

- What will happen with Simon and Adèle's baby, who was shown to not be quite right?

- What will happen with Chloe, who's now with the Siguret family?

- What's with the revenants from the caves? Where do they come from in general?

- What's the deal with Victor? It's clear he's not a normal revenants, he may not be a revenants at all. If he is, when did he actually die? What's his purpose?

- The same for Lucy. It is shown she was already dead when she appears in season 1. Season 2 appears to cover her backkstory, but I suspect there's more to Lucy like there's more to Victor.

There was a French review I read somewhere that was wondering Victor was either the devil or an angel or something. I'm thinking Lucy may be his counterpart.. whatever he is. They both have abilities that other revenants don't seem to have, and they seem to have a connection of sorts. When Lucy's backstory is shown, she comes to town, and she says she's waiting for a small boy. Just like Victor, I don't think the her death (the one you get to see, when se was killed by Milan) was actually her original death.

Although I didn't get a chance to ask at the Toronto Film Festival, the impression the creators gave was that this was the end of the story they wanted to tell.

I'm still plugging away watching it on More4. Thought the last two or three episodes in particular have been excellent. They've managed to somehow make it just as tense (even more so at times) as the first season.

Can't wait to hear the Mogwai soundtrack in full:

That ending with Milan underwater with the Mogwai music (sounds like it could be off Rave Tapes) was just fantastic. Equally, that scene where they push him into the water was beautifully shot. Very creepy.

So, mooooooooore.

We've finished this!

I thought that the ending delivered and the latter half of season two really picked up. :D

Can't believe that Victor "accidentally" caused all of the dead to come back. I thought the reveal was done in a really chilling but also omg kinda way. Great explanation.

:D

The Camille-goodbye section was tear-inducing. Felt really sorry for her and her family.

Serge deciding to waste away instead of joining the others was also sad. I didn't think he was too far gone and hoped that he would seek some form of redemption. He's cruel, but I also feel that perhaps things might have turned out differently for him in an alternate universe.

Audrey eating her mother was shocking! We both gasped when we saw that and found it very chilling. Amazing scene!

Victor deciding to let Julie be safe away from him and then saving her was an excellent finale. :D

I understood Adele/Simon's "wedding" bit. I interpreted it as that they were destined to be together, either in life or in death. Simon can't be alive with her as he'll be too far away from the other revenants, so Adele has to die to stay with him. I think that she died in the cave and them moving towards the light at the end is them passing into the afterlife.

The hole with water...I can't decide whether the water is actually the dead themselves or if they're passing through the water to get to the afterlife. Either is possible?

Nathan in a sense IS Victor. He's like Victor, in that he's a product of both the living and the dead, which gives you an insight into who Victor might be. I interpreted the ending as that one day Nathan will discover what powers he has and will continue the cycle that took place in these two seasons. He'll us his powers and somehow cause problems in a way that Victor did.

All in all, excellent finale. Great two seasons and I really do believe that we won't get anymore. I hope not. It's finished off perfectly for me. We got an ending, we got answers that were plausible and we also got just enough for speculation and mystery.
