gaggle64 Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) The man who give me a major part of childhood has died today - Gerry Anderson, the man directly responsible for puppet-starring explosion-fests Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Stingray and others as well as classic live action shows U.F.O. and Space 1999 has died aged 83. He was a giant in the science-fiction landscape enthralling multiple generations of kids around the world with his futuristic fantasies of incredible machines and daring heroes. All these shows were a huge part of my and many others childhood and I know many will continue to treasure them today Oh, and the explosions. Lots and lots of explosions. Jimbob Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Also duely worth noting these other Anderson classics of childhood Damn shame, his creations were a huge part of mine and many others childhoods. R.I.P indeed, a sad day for all.
