Kid Eternity Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 This is an excellent, thought provoking read: I met god the other day. I know what you’re thinking. How the hell did you know it was god? Well, I’ll explain as we go along, but basically he convinced me by having all, and I do mean ALL, the answers. Every question I flung at him he batted back with a plausible and satisfactory answer. In the end, it was easier to accept that he was god than otherwise. Which is odd, because I’m still an atheist and we even agree on that! Read the full piece
AshMat Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Long, very long, but interesting Probably a big load of crap by some guy who is good at writing, i mena, how the heck do we know that this even happened? A great read though
Kid Eternity Posted December 28, 2005 Author Posted December 28, 2005 Oh yeah I don't believe it for one second but it is a good read! And also quite close to what I used to believe (what the God says) about our existence etc before I became an Aethiest.
AshMat Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I always have been an aethiest but sometimes i worry about what will happen when i die, i mean if there is a heaven and i didnt beleive in it will i get to go to it?
Kid Eternity Posted December 28, 2005 Author Posted December 28, 2005 I once got into an arguement with a Christian mate who was concerned "with the well being of my soul due to my lack of faith". I said if God has infinite mercy why wouldn't he forgive me (and trust me I'd be truly bloody sorry if I was wrong after death!)?
AshMat Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I was in London on the tube once, theere was this religious american guy coming down asking people about religion. He says: Well when it all ends we're gonna try and get up there and not down there. So i say: Down there? then what about the titanic i'd say that's pretty far down there
Ramar Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 How on Earth did he manage to remember that intricut conversation. Nice read. But I don't know what to conclude from it.
KKOB Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Intresting-do love the whole religion/aetheist argument- but theres only one way to find out for sure and i aint in a hurry to do that! lol
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 He is clearly talking to himself. I think the question should rather be: What is God?
jayseven Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 It's easy; God is the cow, the universe is the milk.
Kid Eternity Posted December 28, 2005 Author Posted December 28, 2005 How on Earth did he manage to remember that intricut conversation. Nice read. But I don't know what to conclude from it. I think not knowing exactly what to think is a good achievement of the piece!
Kid Eternity Posted December 28, 2005 Author Posted December 28, 2005 It's easy; God is the cock, the universe is the spunk. Heh heh heh!
