Ashley Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Anyone got any suggestions. I haven't relaly got any particular size in mind but thinking 150GB+ maybe. I want something sub £100 preferably (or near to that anyway). Found a few such on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/electronics/B0009F0T0C/alternative-products/202-7915432-6891831 Staples are doing this one for £100 - http://reviews.cnet.com/250GB_F_A_Porsche_External_Hard_Drive_USB_2_0_1_1/4852-3186_7-30734658.html?tag=uolst And of course, any other ones people know of would be useful. Cheers people.

Ashley Posted December 15, 2005 Author Posted December 15, 2005 If their is a PCworld near you, they are selling a 250GB freecom gardrive for £90 its a good price There is, I was in there earlier. I just figured I'd ask because most people are like "PC World are teh devil!" so thought I'd see if it is genuinly a good deal or common pricing.
Wesley Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 PC World is a great shop as long as you make sure when a salesman comes up to you just say, "Look, just. Just, fuck off. Yeah?".

Hem Posted December 15, 2005 Posted December 15, 2005 Since I only have a 30 gig HDD, and my music collection was rapidly growing, nearing the 20+ region, I decided to purchase one off Amazon. I bought this one - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007R6CGC/ref=br_lf_li_1_2/026-0219610-9335675 and I love it. Instant drag and drop files and with 230ish gigs of space for only £85 you really can't go wrong.
Raining_again Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 i would watch out for cheap & fast hard drives like mine (maxtor 200gb 7200rpm for 80 quid) cause they can be a bit noisy
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 I would get a Seagate or Western Digital if I were you. They tend to be more reliable.
