Puppies

Ok so my sister's dog gave birth the other day. 4 were dead and 3 were alive. Yesterday I went over to bury the dead ones. Then this morning they took the mother to the vet (she was eating her food). My sister was very upset thinking that her dog was going to die so today I went over to help her bottle feed the puppies. They weren't taking to the bottle at first but after a while we managed to get them to feed. I also took her other dog for a walk. Anyway the mother is back home now and appears to be better (she was at the vets all day on a drip). So hopefully the puppies should now be fine.

Aww tiny little dogs!

 

And no, I don't think I have any related stories. None of our pets have ever had offspring.

 

So random pet fact: we had two dogs a few years ago. The day we picked up Molly was the day Rosie was born. The day we picked up Rosie was the day Diana died (which was tragic and all but boy did I loath that same new story repeated every 15 minutes on the radio our mother made us listen to on the 2 hour round trip).

I love this picture, I used to have a dog when I was a kid, and it always used to sleep with its tongue poking out a bit, reminds me of him.

When I was trying to bottle feed one it started sucking my finger. My god it must have taken about an inch inside it's mouth, it was past the first knuckle. And it sucked really hard. It took some strength to pull my finger out. Then I just shoved a bottle in it's mouth.

 

(Yes I'm aware of potential innuendo)
