Will Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Whenever I went to town with my parents we'd park in the multistory carpark. At some point they started putting up those "motorists, don't leave valuables in your car" signs. For the longest time I thought they said "Mothers, don't leave vegetables in your car" I thought it was to do with them getting too hot and making the place smell bad. Only later did I realise the dark truth of what makes a carpark smell.
ipaul Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 When I was little and used to cross the road, people would tell me to 'wait for the green man'. Naturally ignoring the traffic lights, it took me some time to figure out that an actual green man didn't ever emerge from nearby and wave us over, it now being ok to cross the road. When people said 'Put your seatbelt on or you'll go flying through the glass', I always used to think that a pint glass would appear on the road and I would go flying through that. My mind struggled with roads apparently. I'm guessing I wasn't the only one then :p
